I usually don’t leave long reviews but I had to this time. TRUST ME- book this guesthouse. Aside from it being stunning, the owners are the most genuine, caring, kind elderly couple I’ve ever met. I wanted to go to a specific island for a hike and asked for advice from Mr. Kim. He suggested to travel with him on the very next day to another island which was incredible! When I had a wound on my feet they treated me like I’m their child. I felt so cared for and safe. I won’t ever shut up about this amazing experience and I want to come back for sure. Please treat them with the utmost respect if you choose to stay at their home! There’s a 5gcs store nearby, ferry terminal and bus station.

A wonderful guesthouse! Actually my favourite place I stayed out of several on my trip. Very welcoming host who was super helpful. Peaceful location, with beautiful garden. Very easy to get to on public transport or a 30 minute walk to harbour area using under sea tunnel. Right by cable car for Mireuksan.

Staying only one night in Episode Guesthouse was not enough! First, Tongyeong has too many islands and hikes to offer to only stay two days. Second, the guesthouse really feels like home. After weeks of travelling around, I enjoyed sharing a happy breakfast and chatting quietly in the livingroom. Also, we had to do some last minute booking modifications and the host was super helpful and understanding. Well, in a nutshell, I hope to go back there soon!

Tong Stay is super clean and very easy to find. If you walk down the mountain after the cable car trip, you will just run into it! Also, a walking distance from the underwater tunnel.

Ton Ton is very friendly and I really felt like home. As there are not a lot of tourist information available online, he even helped me plan my trip around Geoje. Also his mother owns a restaurant, so it's convenient if you do not want to eat outside after a tiring day of travelling. Location is reasonably good around 10-15 minutes walk from a bus stop if you take bus 130 or 131 from Gohyeon bus terminal. As bus is quite infrequent on the island, sometimes you need to wait up till 30 minutes or an hour for buses. The host even fetched me to Gohyeon bus terminal in the morning during my stay.
