I really enjoyed my stay, the room and bathroom facilities were very very clean and we had a great balcony where we enjoyed breakfast and dinner. Homemade food was delicious, and we really felt welcome. We really appreciated the bike rent that is very convetient to go visit the sacred city from the home stay. Staying at Aruna Home Stay in Polonnaruwa was by far the best experience I had with local people during my trip in Sri Lanka. Mom and daughter were incredibly kind, always smiling, and genuinely helpful, making me feel like part of their family from the very first moment. The room was simple but very clean and comfortable, with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. What really made the difference was the warm hospitality: sharing meals, stories, and local advice gave me the chance to experience authentic Sri Lankan culture in a way that no hotel could offer. The location is also great, close to the ancient city and easy to reach by bike or tuk-tuk. Breakfast and dinner prepared at the homestay were delicious, with fresh and traditional dishes full of flavor. It was amazing. The host was superb, helpful and nice. Place is brand new and very clean. House is in perfect location close to restaurants and shops andl near the archeological site. You can rent bicycles on site what makes the sightseeing much more easier. I highly recommend this place.

Very clean room, exceptional breakfast and host family. WiFi,warm water, water pressure and A/C worked perfectly. You can also eat dinner at the hotel. It is just a 5mins walk from the lake promenade where we watched beautiful sunsets. 10mins bicycle ride to the maingate of the ancient sights, 5min to the museum and ticket office. Can rent bicycle at the hotel as well. we loved our stay
