Extremely clean and looked after, with important details such as mosquito net for the bed as the area hosts a lot of them! Kind and helpful service from the owner, his wife and his mum. Delicious and cheap food served on site. Bikes to explore the ruins can be dropped directly here! I would definitely recommend!

Kind family, super helpful host. Tasty dinner for a good price. Good local breakfast. Nice lake with a beautiful sunset view in 10 min walks. The host helped us with everything, transfer around to see the sights, transfer to the bus station, asked how we can go to Ella by public transfer. Thanks for it!

Really welcoming host, the rooms were immaculate, great hot showers, clean bathrooms, one of our favourite stays in a 5 week trip around Sri Lanka. The location and the great field views made it a fantastic place to stay while exploring the temple/ruins. Set back from the main road so it was quiet at night too. The food was absolutely amazing - the breakfast was huge and brilliant value for money at $3 each, don't miss out on the fantastic coconut and honey pancakes. We ate dinner here both nights of our stay and the amazing flavours and generous portions were better than a lot we have seen in restaurants on our travels. The spiced chicken/rice with all the sri lankan side dishes we had was lovely! The host is always there without being intrusive, happy to help book things if needed or just have a chat. Would thoroughly recommend staying here!

Very nice place with garden . My room had great terasa and air condition. Quite good location, near centre and you can walk by the lake. Wery friendly owner. Big breakfast (extra paid). Best accomodation for that price. I would recomend it!

I enjoyed staying at Aruna because it is located in a very quite neighborhood. Comfortable room and terrace. Welcome drink and good breakfast. Bike rental from the host was very practical (highly recommended to explore the historic city).

We had a brilliant stay! The space was new, and felt clean and modern, as well as cool. Our hosts were lovely, and gave us some great recommendations, as well as organising a fantastic safari tour for us to the nearby Kadulla National Park (where we saw hundreds of animals, including Elephants). The location is easy, just a 5 minute walk to the Ancient City. There’s also some great places to eat nearby - special mention to Mr.Punsiri's Kitchen which was delicious. The room was light and airy, and we had our own balcony to sit on which was great in the evenings. Overall we had a great time and would love to come back.

We loved our stay here. We only had a night which felt like enough for the area but wished we could have stayed longer at their lovely guest house. The couple that run it are so friendly, attentive and we felt right at home. The room was so cosy and tastefully done. We found the bed to be comfortable and really appreciated having a lamp and decorations in the room. The food was so yummy and fresh. We loved the dog Lily as well as the owners. There was just a warm atmosphere and the place felt loved.
