We visited Horton Plains and were looking for a place that felt safe, peaceful, and like home — and Tea Sprig Villa Boralanda was the perfect find! This is one of the newest and safest villas in the area, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. We stayed for 2 nights, and what made this place even more special is that we were their very first guests — what an honor! 🙏 The family running the villa is super friendly, warm, and caring. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and made with so much love. The clean fresh air, hot water, and beautiful surroundings made us feel like we were in heaven. This place is quiet, clean, and perfect for anyone looking to relax and recharge. We’re so grateful for the hospitality and unforgettable experience. We will definitely come again. Very helpful staff, they arrange the transfer from Ella to Mirissa. And have a great view outside from your room 😀. If I have time, I will stay longer to explore Ella. Definitely will come back to stay here again.

This stay exceeded our expectations! It has a more hotel-like feel and is super centrally located beside lake Gregory & close to Victoria Park. The staff were excellent and so friendly. We had a lovely breakfast and you can see an amazing sunrise over lake Gregory right from the building! There is an area for parking if needed. The room is super comfortable.

Naadhika and her family were the perfect hosts. Absolutely polite, accommodative and helpful. Naadhika's mother made us delicious home cooked breakfasts and dinners. We were tired of eating outside food during our trip, so their food was a good healthy break for us. Naadhika's mom is an awesome cook. Their homestay was probably the best experience we had amongst the six other homestays we stayed during our two week trip. We rented their scooter for two days which they offered at a lower price than other commercial places. They even accommodated our request to extend our stay by one day at the last minute and modified their other bookings. Naadhika has a very pleasant personality and is always smiling and her mother is a lovely and sweet lady. If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable stay, and if this place is available, please book it right away. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here if I ever visit Ella.

Lush in Ella is a brand new venue and a true hidden gem in the middle of the jungle. Yet it is very close to the center of the town. The owner Saman and her husband made us feel very special, especially pampering us with delicious homemade breakfasts. The room, bathroom, and balcony are very clean, the Internet works well, The washroom is spacious.

What a neat spot! Great location for walking to Little Adam’s Peak, and access to the nine arches bridge is right across the road. Our host was very caring and the room was a very generous size. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching life down below on the street.

Staying at this accommodation was the best decision we have made!!! We were welcomed by the most beautiful family, after a long journey. We were able to park our tuk tuk under CCTV which made us feel reassured. We booked all 3 rooms, and they were all incredible. The accommodation was extremely clean, and the rooms are all attached to a balcony with a view of the mountains and lots of birds. The rooms have hot water and REAL beds with REAL pillows and a duvet. No AC needed, the area is nice and cool. We took a tour of the family's rice fields and vetegable garden. The highlight of this accommodation is the food that the family prepares for you. We have been in Sri Lanka for almost a year, and this was by far the best food we have had! The breakfast is included and is huge and varied. They provide many different options including fruits, hoppers, juices, teas, coffees, dahl, sambol, pancakes, rotis, avocado and so much more! We decided to order dinner through the accommodation as well. Each dinner has about 10 different dishes and you are able to make requests if needed. We had all sorts of incredible food like jackfruit curry, fish curry, chicken curry, noodles, rice, eggs, papadom, and everything else you could think of! (And beers) All in all, our stay here was absolutely incredible and it was the highlight of our trip. We can highly recommend!!

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The host family were so welcoming and kind, and helped us with planning our holiday, not just in Nuwara Eliya but all over Sri Lanka. They also introduced us to a great guide for hiking and transport to Ella. The house and room are exactly as described, the bed really comfortable and the shower the best we experienced in our whole trip.
