Very charming, family-run hotel in the hills of the Douro Valley with not only an extraordinary view on the bending river. But most strikingly - the house has personality which obviously reflects the owner’s passion for place, history and intimacy. Vintage items, personal photos here and there makes you feel like staying at a friends’ place who also has lovely recommendations at hand when you look for places to explore. And if you want to just relax and enjoy the view - the hotel’s pool and the surrounding terraces are just perfect to calm down. Moreover: one of us was sick during our stay - and the hosts were super helpful, understanding and supporting, this was extraordinary. Thank you so much!

The property is a modern villa on top of the steep hill with gorgeous views. We loved everything about it. The hosts were so friendly that we felt like visiting relatives we never met before. We paid for the breakfast and it was delicious with lots of choices: eggs, cold cuts, different cheeses, homemade jams and home baked cake, fruit. We rented ebikes and had to use turbo to get up the hill with our pack packs, otherwise it's a 1,5km up up up. But it is worth it.
