The location is a tremendous asset to this place. The rooms have been beautifully renovated, exceeding our expectations given the price we paid. It was a last-minute decision, but it was definitely worth it. The establishment boasts a charming terrace where fellow guests gather, providing a delightful opportunity to meet people. With only 4-5 rooms, it's far from crowded, making it perfect for both relaxation and privacy. The location is conveniently situated, just a 5-10 minute walk to the bustling tourist harbor with its array of boats to the islands, and a 20-minute stroll to the ferry harbor. You're essentially in the heart of it all at this place. It's truly exceptional, and we couldn't find any faults. Despite our late arrival, the owner kindly stayed up to welcome us, a gesture we greatly appreciated. While communication with the owner was a bit challenging due to their limited English skills, it didn't bother us at all. The WiFi worked perfectly.

Our recent stay in Ayvalik was truly memorable, thanks to the charming inn we chose. The property is ideally located in the heart of the town, just a short walk from the seaside, making it perfect for both exploring and enjoying the scenic views. What stood out most was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the family who runs the inn. They were very kind and friendly. This genuine hospitality, especially from the owner who led the family with great care, made our stay feel special and personal. Breakfast was served in a lovely inner garden that provided a peaceful and refreshing start to the day. In summary, our experience at this family-run inn in Ayvalik was delightful. The central location, comfortable rooms, and above all, the warm family atmosphere, made it a perfect choice for a relaxing getaway. Absolutely fantastic place! Amazing location, friendly staff, incredibly cozy and clean room with comfortable beds, and the best breakfast we had during three months of traveling. We had initially booked only two nights, but ended up extending since we liked it so much. An absolute gem, can't recommend it enough!

I have nothing but the utmost praise for Demet at Gaja Rooms. Her meticulous attention to detail is truly unmatched. Together with her husband, she has created a peaceful and beautifully curated sanctuary in the heart of Ayvalik, just by the Aegean coast. The hotel is located in the quieter part of Ayvalik, offering a sense of calm and retreat, yet it’s only a short stroll—around five minutes on foot—to the lively market area. It’s also easy to find, and we were greeted by the sight of a beautiful bougainvillea in full bloom, draped gracefully over the front of the building. It immediately set the tone for a warm and welcoming stay. Demet welcomed us personally and thoughtfully provided a list of recommended eateries, restaurants, and places of interest to explore in and around Ayvalik. Her local insight made our visit even more enjoyable and helped us make the most of our time in the area. Our room was extremely well appointed, with tasteful, stylish touches throughout. Everything felt carefully considered and in excellent condition, blending comfort with character. A highlight of our stay was breakfast—an outstanding spread of local delicacies and handmade dishes, prepared with care by Demet and her chef husband. It was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with pride and hospitality. Gaja Rooms is truly a gem—quiet, beautiful, and full of heart. We’ll remember our stay with great fondness and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a genuine, restful, and memorable experience in Ayvalik.

The hotel is a lovely house conversion in the Old City of Ayvalik, next to very nice cafes, restaurants, boutiques and groceries shops. The room was very clean and the owners are a lovely family who treated us so well that we were really impressed. Made us coffee, tea, let us use the fridge and safekept our bags for free on checkout date for hours. Lovely people and wish they spoke English in order to initiate an even larger discussion between ourselves! The neighborhood is really out of a fairy tale! You will surely not regret choosing this hotel to stay at in Ayvalik! Also, the wifi was excellent and this really helped us plan the trip!
