The mango guest house is really a little oasis on Elephantine Island. Mohammed was amazing to us and he allowed us to meet Ahmed who took us on his feluka. That was the highlight of this travel to Egypt. The hotel itself is calm, super clean, with a comfortable room. You have to take a boat to join the hotel but it passes often and only costs 10EGP per person.

JJ Guesthouse se află în Assuan, la aproximativ 22 km de Mausoleul Aga Khan și la mai puțin de 1 km de Muzeul Nubian, și pune la dispoziție WiFi gratuit în întreaga proprietate. Aceasta pensiune mi-a dapasit asteptarile.Proprietarul JJ împreuna cu sotia si echipa lui,fac o treaba excelenta.Camera a fost foarte curata si bine utilata(tv,un mini frigider,A.C,ventilator).Patul este foarte confortabi,iar micul dejun foarte copios.JJ este foarte atent si grijuliu cu oaspetii sai.Mi-a pregatit un transfer(cu un.sofer excelent pe nume Hady) de la Assuan la Luxor cu o masina privata la un pret bun(70€).Daca aveti nevoie de ceva nu ezitati sa îl intrebati.In apropierea pensiunii se afla statia de feribot(la 3 minute de mers).Transportul bagajelor de la feribot la pensiune este foarte dificil(drumul fiind neasfaltat si denivelat).Multumesc JJ pentru gazduire.Sper sa ne revedem cu bine.

A lovely setting on the quiet side of Elephantine Island, air con worked well, breakfast on the covered patio was filling and tasty, Hamada and Moustafa were so helpful, picked us up by boat when we arrived in Aswan and organized a driver for Philae Temple and Abu Simbel.

This place truly exceeded our expectations in every way. It combines the luxury of a hotel with the warmth of a home, all at an affordable price. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the rooftop offers stunning views of the Nile and the surrounding mountains—a perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty of Aswan. The owner, Tamer, is outstanding. He is incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely cares about his guests. Tamer and his family are extremely welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The entire village is very safe, and the locals are some of the kindest people you’ll meet, always willing to go out of their way to help. If you’re considering a stay in West Aswan, I highly recommend Nuba Heart. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

ABU Nubian Guest House se găsește în Assuan, la aproximativ 23 km de Mausoleul Aga Khan și la 600 m de Muzeul Nubian, și are o grădină și o terasă, precum și WiFi gratuit în întreaga proprietate. Abu is helpful and very diligent Egyption YOUNG guy(not by his age), he do help us a lot for the trip, and information. He has a really lovely personality and really care about everyone a lot. It's like if you want to interact with local people but not only see the touristy places and leave, You guys must be here! Very very good cultural experience! I just feel so pity like we stay here for only one night and speak to our landlord only two times. Crying!!!!! Cry!!!!

If you are planning a trip to Aswan, Elephantine Island on the Nile , La Terrace Aswan is the guest house you NEED to stay at. The house is so lovely and spotlessly clean. The view of Aswan Corniche from the wonderful terrace are fabulous day and night. Now on to Mohammed, the proprietor. The nicest, kindest, most genuine man you’ll meet. He looked after us like we were family. We flew into Aswan from Cairo but when we arrived in Cairo our luggage wasn’t. We messaged Mohammed just to let him know what happened and even though at this stage we still hadn’t met he took ownership of the issue and just ran with it. He had a car meet us at the airport which took us straight to a pharmacy to buy toiletries before taking us to the guest house. The following morning after making sure we had some breakfast he guided us to a shopping centre where we could purchase replacement clothing. In addition to all this Mohammed looked after all our bookings for tours and trips. He well and truly saved our holiday. The beds in the room were so comfortable and it was so quiet and peaceful.
