The Guesthouse was the highlight of our China trip and one of the nicest guesthouses I've stayed in on my travels. From arrival Jack & Xiu were the friendliest hosts who provided the best suggestions and transport and made our 3 days exploring different sections of the great wall a breeze! They went above and beyond for everything. It was so nice to have a break in a quiet town and I'd definitely recommend a multiple day stay here to relax and explore Gubeikou and the Wall. It was incredible!! Not only that the rooms were clean, comfy, warm and the ensuite was spacious and had everything you need. The home cooked meals were the best dishes we ate in China!! We loved this place and would recommend it to everyone!

If you are planning to hike the Jinshanling / Gubeikou portion of the Great Wall, this is a lovely lovely place to stay! The building itself is quite beautiful in an artsy traditional kind of way and the woman who runs it (I’m so sorry I didn’t get her name) is a wonderful person who exudes calm and tranquility - a vibe that runs throughout this hotel /hostel. It is a very clean, very comfortable hotel with a beautiful communal space for lounging and eating. We had the dinner that she cooked and it was the best meal I’ve had since arriving in China. The most amazing views of the Great Wall can be seen from the hotel and I would have loved to have stayed an extra few days. We hiked from Jinshanling to Gubeikou, but many people we met in the hostel were going the opposite way - either direction is fabulous, but for sure plan to stay here for at least one night!

She is always there to help, if you need anything. The room is very clean and spacious. We loved the place and the surrounding so that we even extended our stay for one more night.

A great place to stay to visit the great wall and experience a peaceful Chinese village. The entrance to the great wall is just a short walk. This section of the great wall is so quiet that we have the whole place to ourselves. It is also not very restored so you get to see some of the original wall. They also cooked fresh food from their garden for us. I have been to Beijing twice and did all the major tourist spots. I have to say staying here and hiking the wall in peace is my best Beijing experience.

The Japanese-inspired interiors gave the rooms a minimalist yet stylish touch. While the room was smaller than I anticipated, it was still very comfortable and well-maintained. The staff were polite and very helpful, even though their English wasn't perfect—it didn’t stop them from providing great service. The location is another highlight—just a short walk to local restaurants, charming cafés, boutiques, a mall, and even the Forbidden City. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a cozy, well-designed stay in a convenient and lively area.

Goodnight hotel in the ancient Hutong se nachází na ideálním místě v Pekingu a nabízí pokoje s klimatizací, sdílený lounge, bezplatné Wi-Fi a terasu. The location is very good, near both subway stations Yonghegong and Andingmen. The best is the reception, Amber is super. She helps me to book the Tiananmen Square visit and gave many recommendations for many places and restaurants.
