What impressed me most was SanQian's thoughtfulness—being there as early as 6:15 am to send us off on our tour, checking on us through the day to ensure a smooth trip. She even arranging a takeaway breakfast so we wouldn’t miss a meal. The room was comfortable and, most importantly, safe, which gave us peace of mind throughout our stay. Her warm hospitality and genuine care made our experience smooth and memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

First I have to thank Joye for being super nice and helpful, he was in touch before I arrive and managed to book for me tour and sort everything to make my stay wonderful. The hotel is located in the middle of the old town in a beautiful old Chinese house, I loved my room with the spa bathtub, it was like going back in time to live a Chinese’s dynasty. Joye spoke excellent English and his assistant was nice enough to pick me and my luggage from the South Gate to to the hotel, they were doing everything to make my stay comfortable. Joye also booked for me jade snow mountain tour and recommended amazing restaurants. Thank you for all the help, highly recommend this place :)

It’s just an 8-minute walk from the main road, making it easy to catch transportation to other attractions. The room was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with an electric heating blanket, which kept us warm during the freezing temperatures. Mandy, the Inn Keeper, was exceptionally warm and helpful. On our first day, she had arranged for someone to come pick us up from the drop off so we do not need to drag our heavy luggage on the uneven stone pavement. She also provided valuable tips on navigating the area and shared recommendations on what to explore. She even went the extra mile by preparing sandwiches for us when we had to leave early before breakfast. We would absolutely return to this charming inn in the future!

The owner is so nice. They even allowed us to check in earlier and very helpful. The room was clean, tidy and so comfy. We really enjoyed during our stay.

It is perfect if you want to hike the trails and want to do it over 2 days. Zhuoma and her family looked after our family very well. Her son was our driver who was reliable and punctual. They can help with organising trips. We ended up staying extra two days because we loved this special place and Zhuoma’s hospitality.

The place feels like home, the bed is clean and comfortable. The room is spacious and the bathroom is clean and very modern. The uncle from the Inn will also meet you at the gate of the Old town and help you out with your luggage. But most of all, Mandy (manager) is super duper friendly and will help you out a lot. She managed to book me a last minute tour to the Yulong Snow Mountain. You can also do your laundry for free! Mandy helped me out to transfer my clothes to the dryer as I was exhausted coming from the day tour. She also prepared breakfast for me to take. This is the best Inn I’ve stayed so far. Will definitely come back!!

We had the most wonderful experience at Timeless Inn, and a huge part of it was thanks to the incredible hosts, Rose and her husband. From the moment we arrived, they treated us not just as guests, but like old friends. As it was our first time in Shangri-La, Rose’s tips and advice were incredibly helpful. She gave us detailed guidance on what to see and do around town, local restaurant recommendations, and even how to get to each place. Her insights really helped us make the most of our stay. She also helped us call for Didi rides and even woke up as early as 6am to accompany us outside and make sure everything went smoothly. Every morning, she prepared a delicious breakfast at our preferred time, always served with a smile and friendly conversation. She shared lovely stories about Shangri-La — what it was like in the old days versus now — which added so much depth to our experience. Her husband kindly picked us up from the airport and was equally warm and welcoming. He also offers transportation and guiding services to out of town attractions, which is a great option for anyone wanting a more convenient and insightful visit. On our last day, Rose recommended we go to Balagezhong instead of Shika Mountain — and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip! The inn itself has a cozy, homely feel. Rose even upgraded our room to the second floor with a beautiful view. Though the stairs are a bit steep, she insisted on helping us carry our large luggage. The location is excellent — right inside the Ancient Town, just steps from shops, restaurants, the Giant Prayer Wheel, and the central plaza where you can enjoy Tibetan dancing every evening. Being on the edge of the old town also made it super convenient for catching a Didi — only a 1–2 minute walk, so no need to haul luggage through narrow streets.
