Situated in Tortuguero, 400 metres from Tortuguero Beach, Natural Experience House features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and a tour desk. Quiet clean rooms with comfortable beds, individual A/C in our room, private bathroom and good shower. Safe and private. Well-equipped kitchen and a delightful covered patio to relax. We spotted a variety of birds, iguana, and a far off monkey from there. Easy walk to stores, restaurants, the boat dock, and the Tortuguero National Park. Oscar has his on boat with a quiet trolling motor, and he gave us an early morning boat tour of the National Park canals. He’s wonderful guide at spotting wildlife- many birds, spider monkeys, caiman, lizards.

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. There wasn’t much to not like! We had an amazing stay! They tell you that you have to pay cash but this is not true. They accept credit cards. It also says there’s no wifi. But the wifi totally works fine. The AC was amazing. The rooms were spacious. It’s right in front of the beach. It’s walking distance to the town. The staff was very helpful. Thank you for making our experience in Tortuguero amazing!

Located 200 metres from Tortuguero Beach, Casa THIREMA Tortuguero provides rooms with air conditioning in Tortuguero. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house features family rooms. The hotel is small, clean and very nicely decorated. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi were working alright. The breakfast was nice compared to other options in Costa Rica. I was especially happy with the very nice receptionist, Carmen, who went out of her way to provide us with the best recommendations on what to do in Tortuguero and where to book it. Also, the location of the hotel is ideal as a starting point for tours, exploring the Parque National or just visiting a restaurant or a soda. (By contrast, if you stay in San Francisco, you will need a boat ride for almost everything.)

The guest house features family rooms. If you want to escape the confused wandering bands of German and French tourists at least for a little while, stay on the ocean side. This place has a much appreciated feeling of seclusion, and the sound of the ocean at night is worth the price.

The owner helped us with booking a night tour to see turtles laying eggs and a morning canoe trip. Initially, there was an issue with the room as there was no kitchenette for our family of 4. After a short conversation, the owner offered us an additional smaller room, which had a kitchenette along with the original room, and all was settled. Huge TVs in the rooms with a variety of streaming services.

Claudia is such an amazing hardworking woman, with the best attitude and smile!
