The guesthouse was very welcoming and immediately helped us bring our bags from the ferry. When we asked to change dates, they made it easy, and then when we wanted to change room it was also easy. The roof-top was a great asset with a clear view across the Nile full of faluccas and other boats. It was quiet and we slept well in excellent beds. the windows, and small balcony were great. The bathroom was adequate and clean. JJ helped us get an excellent driver, Mustapha, who spoke good english and was very attentive. Both JJ and his wife spoke good english. At first we were asking ourselves some questions about staying on an island which is still quite underdeveloped, but then we got to realize we were having an authentic experience of an African Nubian village and the village life all around. We loved the weaving shop and the spice shop near the ferryboat and made them our base. The ferryboat went every few minutes and cost almost nothing. We found good restaurants also, even one with beer and wine.

Mohammed and Mostafa are very kind, generous, and genuine people. They helped us with everything from Flueca rides, money exchange, and routes. This is from now on my goto for whenever i come to Aswan.

We were given the three bed room as it’s the available at the moment. It was very clean, and definitely would definitely recommend. We had 4 luggages in total since we stayed in Egypt for about 2 weeks, their location is surreal perfect cos it has almost direct access to boat station. They arranged for us the tour and Nile cruise in an honest price. Thank you for making our Aswan experience the best! The couple behind this was very hands on to make the stay memorable. Thanks a lot!

I stayed at Nuba Heart in West Aswan with my family, and we had an absolutely amazing time! This place truly exceeded our expectations in every way. It combines the luxury of a hotel with the warmth of a home, all at an affordable price. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the rooftop offers stunning views of the Nile and the surrounding mountains—a perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty of Aswan. The owner, Tamer, is outstanding. He is incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely cares about his guests. Tamer and his family are extremely welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The entire village is very safe, and the locals are some of the kindest people you’ll meet, always willing to go out of their way to help. If you’re considering a stay in West Aswan, I highly recommend Nuba Heart. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

The host is very nice and helpful, he helped us to arrange all the things for our transportations and tour, he has a boat, it was a very nice experience to go around the nile river using the boat. The guest is in the island, with beautiful scene and very quiet.

Our stay at La Terrace in Aswan was exceptional! The location is excellent, and our host was lovely and incredibly helpful. This place truly exceeded our expectations. Initially, we had some doubts based on our previous experiences in Egypt, but La Terrace turned out to be one of the best in terms of location, views, and price.Situated on Elephantine Island, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The room was spacious, featuring three beds and a cozy bathroom, equipped with all the basic facilities we needed. The island itself is perfect for grounding, relaxing, and taking things slow. Accessing the island from the pier was a breeze, with an affordable boat ticket that took us there in less than 3-4 minutes.Additionally, there are plenty of restaurants around, making it convenient to explore local dining options. We would definitely come back and stay longer next time!
