The countryside location is beautiful, and the traditional-style rooms are spacious and comfortable. Makoto-san is a gracious host and an excellent cook. The dinner and breakfast were marvelous, with an assortment of local specialties and treats. I will be thinking about the delicious sweet potato cake served with breakfast for quite awhile!

Visited Akita for the Kanto Festival in Akita city. It is about 1 hour drive but was no stress. The town of Misato is famous for spring water and amazing sake.

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the comfort and excellent facilities. The accommodation offered a true taste of a traditional Japanese home, with a ground floor room featuring a cozy tatami mattress, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private bathroom and shower—all exclusively for my use. It was the perfect blend of authenticity and convenience. The fridge was thoughtfully stocked with food, which made settling in even easier. What truly set this place apart, however, was the outstanding hospitality. Koha-san, the host, went above and beyond in every way. Not only was the house spotlessly cleaned every day, but Koha-san also offered incredibly generous support throughout my stay. He drove me to the Catholic Church so I could attend Mass, took me to visit the beautiful shrine of Our Lady of Akita, Seitai Hoshikai brought me to the relaxing Akita Onsen Plaza, and even dropped me off at Akita Station—all free of charge. He also gave excellent suggestions for the best Hanami spots, ensuring I experienced the cherry blossoms at their finest. His kindness and dedication made my visit truly unforgettable. I highly recommend AnBeeNa guest house to anyone visiting Akita. Whether you’re looking for peace, culture, or comfort, this place offers it all. The owner was amazing and thoughtful, and was eager to help with anything. they lend bicycles for free to ride to the town and also helped me call a taxi to the station. The bed was really comfortable compared to other places in japan (been here for 3 weeks now). There is also a kitchen with everything you need.

The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, the common space was very pleasant, I had a good time with the guests of the restaurant and the other guests of the guesthouse. The owners nicely gave us appetizers and on the morrow I was able to use a bike for free.

Location was good, had the majority of the house to ourselves. Good value for money too. Tip for guests driving there - Watch out for the neighbour 2 houses away as she was extremely rude and literally chased us out of her carpark when we accidentally parked there.
