Fantastic view of the pagoda (but the main tori gate was not visible). Location is located slightly uphill but still close to the main shopping street and the shrine. The room shares the bathroom and shower with everyone else, but has its own sink so it's more convenient. The shared bathrooms were clean, and there's a shared bath that people can reserve.

The person running the place was very friendly, and was very helpful with telling us about the surrounding area. If I ever came back to Ikuchijima, I would pick this as my first place to stay again.

The owner is so kind and helpful. He helped us out so much and even drove us to the ferry. If you are ever in Onomichi don’t hesitate to book this place, the kindness and hospitality of the owner alone is enough to make the stay worthwhile.

The location was on the opposite end of the shopping street from the train station so lots of opportunity to see the town. We loved this stay!

She provided excellent recommendations for bike rentals, local restaurants, and activities, and every day left thoughtful notes at reception highlighting events happening in the area. When we accidentally left our backpack (with passports inside!) at the guesthouse, she promptly mailed it to our next destination without hesitation. Our 8-year-old daughter, Alice, loved the play area in the communal dining space, bouncing on the trampoline in the garden, and meeting the resident animals: friendly sheep, two charming cats, and Maroon, the adorable dog. The property itself is spotless. We stayed in one of the Japanese-style rooms, which felt spacious by Japanese standards, and offered spectacular views over the bay. The rooftop terrace was another highlight for us. We'd wholeheartedly recommend staying here, it’s truly a special place.

I was the only one staying there for two nights so it was lovely and quiet. The owner (Yummy I think) was very sweet and accommodating when she popped in and when I saw her on the street at check out. Simple and effective place to stay.
