The entry to the building and room is by code so you don't always have to bring an annoying keycard with you. There was free bottled water in the lobby. The host Kevin gave us all important information via Whatsapp and even offered to drive us to the station at the end of our stay.

On top you get to experience sleeping on a futon which is way more comfortable than we expected! We recommend this place to anyone that wants to visit Kyoto and would definitely come again! The owner was so charming and helpful and spoke very good English. Would.highlybrecommend the breakfast both Japanese and western style were fabulous. Really good local.restaurants nearby.

The location is also perfect for exploring all the neighborhoods of Kyoto. We truly had a wonderful experience, and when we return to Kyoto, staying here again will definitely be a plus!
