The private room was beautiful, tastefully decorated, and offered a stunning view. The host is such a kind and welcoming person — we felt comfortable right away. He even took us on a tuk-tuk tour to show us the main sights, which was amazing and something we highly recommend!

What an awesome stay with Fahad and Begum and their family. We felt welcomed right from the start when we arrived. Our room was awesome spacious clean with an amazing balcony and view. We were delighted when Begum and Farad responded positively for our requests for meals. They provided the best vegan meals with awesome Sri Lankan curries and my favourite Sambol yum 😋. Farad had the best Sambol recipe I have ever had. Begum was a master of vegetables and jackfruit curries. Farad also was our tour guide in his brand new Tuk Tuk and took us on so many great tea adventures plus a wonderful trip to the tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰. He was a calm amazing driver and he also drove us to our next stop near Ella. Honestly Haputale is a much more authentic highlands experience and Bawa Inn was exactly what we wanted … a Sti Lankan guesthouse with awesome hosts. Thank you 🙏 Begum and Farad.

We spent 2 nights here and the family couldn’t do enough for us- so kind and generous. They made us cups of tea and coffee when we arrived and throughout our stay. Stunning location in the jungle away from the centre of Ella, with views across to Little Adam’s Peak. Delicious food- they made us an amazing curry on our 1st night- 7 different kinds with rice! And the breakfast….just delicious. Our room was very clean with a comfortable bed, mosquito net and a balcony overlooking the family farm and onto beautiful views. We used their taxi to get us around and to our next destination. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. 😊

Everything was superb and it was probably the best sunrise of our lives. That morning is absolutely among the top-ten travelling experiences together with for example, the Great Barrier reef, Rio de Janeiro, Kyoto, the Victoria Falls and sunset at Ao Prao beach at Koh Samet. The view from the balcony (and the bed) was spectacular. We sat on the balcony from 5.30 watching the sunrise over the mountains accompanied by the monks soft and humming morning prayers, truely magic. We then had a wonderful breakfast served at our balcony with the greatest of views. Thank you for being so welcoming and for taking so well care if us. Next time we will, for sure, stay for more than one night.
