The place is new, the rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious, with AC. The location is excellent. But most of all, the owner is one of the most honest people I've ever met. He also helped me find a guide and transfers at great prices. Highly recommended.

The place is really nice and the owners are great. I was on the line with them all the time so they helped me reach their place. Their place is around 3km from the ancient city. They have bicycles for a small fee. The road next to the lake is amazing. I loved it. The room was spacious and cozy, hot water was available. You can get AC for an extra charge but I think a fan is enough. The food mom cooks is very delicious. I had dinner and breakfast with them. They were there to help me with everything and give me information about my sightseeing. I def recommend this place!!!

Konditsioneeriga Lake Cabin asub Polonnaruwas, 2,5 km kaugusel Gal Viharayast ja 2,9 km kaugusel Polonnaruwa Vatadage'ist. Rõduga majutusasutuses on tasuta eraparkla ja tasuta WiFi-ühendus. The location was beyond expectations. Two separate cabins were situated next to each other. Each had two double beds, air conditioning, tea or coffee making facilities, a mosquito net and linen and toiletries. There was a small balcony with seating for four persons and the balcony was right next to the electric fence separating the forest reserve around Parakrama Samudraya man made lake. The view in the morning from the balcony was exceptional, and we could watch the sun rise amidst many water and land birds flying around us. We identified a grey heron, purple heron, many king fishers, peacocks, green and blue tailed bee eaters, a crimson backed golden back (woodpecker) among the numerous birds and two mongooses had a playful morning right before our eyes. The breakfast and dinner were delicious with three types of local fruits plus the meal. The host Sanka was lovely, providing us with our meals on the dot. He also found d accommodation for our driver in a nearby place. There is a wooden elephant making workshop right next to the cabins and our friend from Germany was delighted to watch elephant carving from wood and purchased 5 beautiful elephants. There are shops to buy common items within 200 meters of the cabins and bicycles are available for rent for those who like to cycle. We spent a lot more time in the cabin than we expected as we didn’t want to leave bird watching from our balcony!!

The rooms are large and clean with good facilities. We had a day of torrential rain which confined us to the guesthouse. It was absolutely a pleasure to sit and read a book, watch the many birds and plan the next days. Bicycle hire was easy, and the owners generous with local knowledge.

Aiaga Aruna homestay asub Polonnaruwas Polonnaruwa kellatorni, Deepa Uyana ja Polonnaruwa Vatadage lähedal. Kohapeal on ühisköök ja päikeseterrass. I enjoyed staying at Aruna because it is located in a very quite neighborhood. Comfortable room and terrace. Welcome drink and good breakfast. Bike rental from the host was very practical (highly recommended to explore the historic city).

Villa Ravichini asub Polonnaruwas, kõigest 700 meetri kaugusel Polonnaruwa kellatornist. Kohapeal on aed, baar ja majapidamisteenus. The owner was very kind and super helpful. I really loved the breakfast. It was enough for dinner too. The double bed was great and it had mosquito net on.

Risenlak Holiday Resort asub Polonnaruwas, 1,2 km kaugusel Polonnaruwa kellatornist ja 1,7 km kaugusel Deepa Uyanast. Kohapeal on istumisnurk. Polonnaruwa Vatadage on 2,3 km kaugusel. Nice and clean place and good quality room. And comfortable room and friendly owner. Highly recommended place

Jayaru Guest House asub Polonnaruwas, Polonnaruwa kellatornist 400 meetri ja Deepa Uyanast 1,2 km kaugusel. Külalistemajas on istumisnurk. Majutusasutusel on terrass ja tasuta eraparkla. The family is incredibly welcoming, from the parents to the son, that is helping from time to time. The rooms are nice and clean, the bed comfortable and you can rent a bike there to go visit the city (although a bit old they work well). The breakfast was very good. Our only regret was spending only one night here and continue our chat with the son and father. Thank you for the hospitality and the ride to the bus station!
