The room was cozy, the food was delicious, and the pool was exactly what we needed to relax. But the highlight was definitely our amazing host – so kind, helpful and always smiling. He really made us feel at home, and went above and beyond with every little request. We’ll always remember his warm energy – thank you so much! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable place to stay.

Sunethra est adorable et nous a accueilli au top et a pris soin de nous ! Elle donne des supers conseils de visite de Tissa et ses alentours. Le petit déjeuner au bord de la rivière est génial. On est parti en Safari au parc de Yala avec leur agence. Super guide et conducteur ! Notre chambre était immense et très confortable. Côté route il y a de la circulation mais la nuit bcp moins. L’établissement Tissa Rainbow Guest & Yala se trouve à Tissamaharama, à 900 mètres de ce lieu d’intérêt : Tissa Wewa. Il propose un jardin, une terrasse, un restaurant et un parking privé gratuit. Chambre très propre. La maison est située juste au bord du lac où, le soir, des chauves-souris géantes quittent les grands arbres pour chercher leur nourriture. Les repas étaient très bons. La ville est à 1 km à pied, mais la visite est plus agréable si on loue un vélo ou un scooter. Grâce à l'hôte, qui m'a accompagné avec sa voiture, j'ai visité de nombreux temples. Tissa est un village unique, avec de grandes rizières et une vie bouddhiste très forte. Les touristes devraient venir plus nombreux ! Very clean room. The house is located right on the lake where, in the evening, giant bats leave the big trees to look for food. The meals were very good. The city is 1 km away on foot, but the visit is more pleasant if you rent a bike or scooter. Thanks to the host, who accompanied me with his car, I visited many temples. Tissa is a unique village, with large rice fields and a very strong Buddhist life. More tourists should come!

L’établissement Mailagama Cinnamon Residence se situe à Kataragama, à respectivement 21 km et 22 km de ces lieux d’intérêt : Situlpawwa et Tissa Wewa. This was our second visit to Mailagama Cinnamon Residence and we were truly happy to see again the owners of the hotel, Indira and her husband. The hotel is located in a picturesque place among green rice fields. We loved walking around the area - there are large lakes nearby, and there are few people around, but an incredible number of peacocks. A real kingdom of peacocks. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony with a great view. There was also a big shared terrace to work online or to do yoga. The fans helped to cope with the heat, which was important for us. We really liked the Srilankan food at the hotel - delicious and served with great elegance. Manager Inbaraj was always attentive and helped us with any questions. On his advice, we visited two temples - Rock Temple where you can see dozens of funny monkeys and Kataragama Maha Devalaya. Both places are interesting and atmospheric, especially the latter, which is famous for its festivals throughout the country. We hope to come back here next year to see the beauty of the nature and to feel the special friendly atmosphere.

L’établissement Kethaka Aga se situe à Tissamaharama, à respectivement 3,7 km et 29 km de ces lieux d’intérêt : Tissa Wewa et Parc national du Bundala. Absolument tout. Le personnel est aux petits soins, tout en étant d’une grande discrétion. La chambre est magnifique, le lieu est paisible. Piscine, véranda, patio arboré et vue à couper le souffle sur les champs.

Staying at Lake Face Cabana was the highlight during our trip to Sri Lanka. The atmosphere at the location is peaceful and serene, and the lake view is gorgeous. The cabanas were a perfect fit for the scenery, and have been designed and built by the hosts themselves. They are very skillfully made, and with great taste. Same goes with their garden, which added to the magical experience. The family could as well be professional designers! During our stay we were visited by water birds, squirrels, a monitor lizard and a turtle. We were told there is also a (well-behaving) resident crocodile, who unfortunately had other commitments while we were at the property. :) The main attraction though were our hosts: Gayan, Dilushika (sorry if the spelling is wrong!) and their two adorable girls. What a beautiful, sweet family! As we got to know them a little bit, we became inspired by their kindness, curiosity and thrive. The couple were very considerate and attentive to our needs, and were always available for interesting conversations about life in Sri Lanka. Dilushika's cooking was fantastic, the breakfast especially was delicious and well worth the cost! Oh and be sure to ask for the safaris directly from the accommodation. Gayan's brother runs the best safari outfit in the area, and we had two perfect days in Yala and Bundala. For our next visit to Tissamaharama, there's no other accommodation option than Lake Face Cabana. Couldn't recommend it more! <3

L’établissement Suduweli Beauties of Nature - Yala se trouve à Kirinda, à 2,1 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Plage de Kirinda. C'est un endroit magnifique un petit coin de paradis. Tout a été construit par Santha, on s'y s'en vraiment bien, on ne manque de rien et je dois souligner que le petit déjeuner et excellent et copieux! C'était un chouette séjour !

Stay was perfect! Really clean rooms, comfortable beds and pillows. The hotel has beautiful garden and fabulous rice fields bordering on hotel garden. Hostess was very helpful, polite and nice. Best recommendations!
