The guest house features family rooms. To reiterate what I had read in some reviews for this place, this guesthouse is a hidden gem! My friend and I loved our room. It had everything we needed. It was also very clean. The shower had warm water, which is not always a given. The outdoor space has chairs and hammocks in the shade to hang out. EncantaLuna is away from the noisy center, and is still a short walk to reach "downtown" and the main beach. For the price you pay, EncantaLuna is a no-brainer. The owners, Erika and Luca, were really wonderful, easily reachable, communicative, and always willing to help and give recommendations. They have a wiener dog, Marvin, who is also adorable. :) Would definitely stay there again!

An incredibly charming family welcomed us, and we immediately took them to heart... and I believe they did the same with us. Even though we speak only a few words of Spanish and they don't speak English, we got along well. Whenever we needed help or had questions, they were immediately ready and incredibly hospitable. Here, you live together and get to see what the "local life" is like. There's a communal kitchen for guests, a rooftop terrace for relaxing, and even a water refill station. The rooms are simple and functional. Another plus is that in the morning, you can hear a wonderful concert of birds upon waking up; the jungle is right next door. Simply marvelous, we felt very comfortable here and would come back anytime.

We would definitely recommend staying here! We arrived pretty late in the evening after a long flight and the host gave us a warm welcome. The room and bathroom were nice. And the shared space with swimming pool is a great addition! The host gave us some nice advice as it was our first day in Mexico. We’re coming back here when we have our flight back home.

Very clean, and Irais was a wonderful and very responsive host. She booked tours and a shuttle back to the airport at a discount for us and also recommended some great restaurants. When it rains the roads get muddy to walk around, but there is a foot wash station right at the entrance to clean your muddy/sandy feet upon return. The rooftop pool is a perfect option to escape the heat. Breakfast fruit and pastries included was a great bonus too.

Octavio was a super host, he really made everything for us so that we felt we are at home. The beach was very close.

If you look at the hotel from the street you’ll get a confused vibe since it looks like it was more of a vacation home at some point rather than a hotel. You get welcomed by a super friendly and welcoming host. The common areas are in fact like a house. Once you get into your room you’ll notice a nice decorated room very simple and good looking contrasting a lot with the weird green the hotel has from the outside. The room has a private balcony overseeing the lake. Even though this hotel is small the level of cleanliness in the room and bathroom were better than the 5 star hotel we stayed at in Cancun. The name of the hotel was something that made me doubt when I was looking where to stay since it doesn’t make the place justice as how much attention and care it gets put into it. If you are doubting to stay here… don’t. Go on a reserve with confidence I would (and will) definitely go back. Access to the lake is great, included kayaks and the parking has a gate which gets closed at night which made me sleep more comfortable knowing my car wasn’t sitting in a parking with acces from the street which mosts hotels in the area have. Also the host has the most lovely and friendly dog.
