Fantastic location inside the old city walls. One night wasn't long enough but Carla helped us plan our sight seeing to make the best use of the time we had in Evora. She was wonderfully welcoming and made us feel like friends. The house is separated into 4 guest rooms with a shared kitchenette and fabulous rooftop terrace, and the owners had separate living quarters, so were on hand if we needed anything but not in our space. We loved it and would definitely book again.

But what really makes this place stand out is Victor, the amazing host - he is extremely helpful, attentive, full of great stories and recommendations and he truly made our stay in Evora feel very special. Casa Saramago is a quaint property, located in Monsaraz, a medieval village classified as a National Monument. The house features an outdoor swimming pool and a garden and is located a 30-minute drive from the border to neighbouring Spain. We loved the traditional warmth of the place and the family and folks who owned Casa Sarmago. We were there during the early part of their season and still we were treated like royalty. Breakfast was delicious and varied and we enjoyed it in the sunny patio.
