Super nice stay at Dreamtime. Perfectely situated just next to the railway station and a supermarket, only few minutes from the city centre. Very beautiful place with a calm pool, peaceful place, very nice decorated. Everything was very clean and the kitchen is very well equiped. There is enough space for all guests in two kitchens and more showers. Paul and Tim are super nice and give a lot of useful tips and recommendations. We prolonged our stay and stayed 2 more nights. Thank you! Definitely recommended.

Peter the host is extremely hospitable and looks after the place so well - It's extremely clean and well organised. Very chill place...not noisy at all Great location near Cairns Central and a 10 min walk to the Esplanade.

Refurbished in May, 2018, Mad Monkey Village featuresa TV, a kitchen, bathrooms with air-conditioners in every room. There is also an outdoor swimming pool. Free WiFi provided.

The location, the staff, the rooms, shared spaces - everything was great! I definitely did not expect that, and this hostel just exceeded my expectations.

Ideally located in the scenic and quieter area of the Esplanade- away from the noise of the clubs, bars and traffic- but only an easy 10 minute walk to the main attractions, the Pier and Cairns City...

comfy beds and pillows. facilities were clean, and the hostel manager was lovely and helpful. Had everything I needed for a one night stay! they also have a pool, and a laundry area with places to hang your wet clothes. Would definitely book again.

Got a free Upgrade, which was awesome! Had my own room just for me :) The staff Was very helpfull and very nice! Breakfast was awesome, was my First included Breakfast, while staying in a Hostel!. Thumbs up!

Stayed in Gilligan's before moving over to the yha for my last few days and even though it's not as modern, it's a way nicer vibe. All the rooms are positioned around the courtyard and a couple of eves there were movies being projected onto the wall for a cinema type experience. I'd definitely suggest ending your trip here over one of the party hostels. It was smaller, but still social and it felt way less chaotic.
