Very cozy place with loads of travellers to interact with, made many new friendships while staying here. In walking distance of temples and Gion. A 7/11 right around the corner. The place was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. 10/10 would definitely stay there again.

Very sweet woman working here and speaking with all the costumers, very friendly ambience, it's an easy place to make friends in the shared tatami space. I really enjoyed my stay, it's close to the station, multiple bus stops and in the city center. The place is very tidy, confortable and nice warm shower with towels and shampoo provided. Everyone is respectful and I could also take an afternoon nap in confortable warm bed. There's a nice clean kitchen you can use and fridge yo put your food. Thank you!

It took about 20 minutes to walk from the nearest JR station (Nijo), but it positioned us well to see places in Arashiyama and Kinkaku-ji (also a 20-minute walk). Grocery stores, convenience stores, and restaurants were plentiful and nearby. Our hosts were easy to work and communicate with and were very friendly. You have to climb a steep staircase to access the rooms and bathroom on the second floor, but our hosts were very helpful in moving our luggage up to our rooms even though we were both able to do so without problem. There is a nice shower/bath on the first floor.

The interior is really well made, great attention to detail. It was very clean and well prepared for our stay. Since we arrived quite late we didn’t get to meet any of the staff, however check in went very smoothly, we had no issues whatsoever and loved coming back to our little home after full and exhausting days of exploring Kyoto! It's very clean and pretty, a lot of space between bed and It's not shaking when someone is up on 2nd bed, really good bathroom with hairdryer as well. At the lobby are kitchen and caffeine. Personal are friendly and speaks English. The location of the hostel is also great, the bus and train stops near, but if you like to walk it's also pretty close to the Kyoto Castle and Gion Street. I highly recommend this hostel. 👌
