Very lovely and welcoming hosts who were always happy to answer our questions or chat. They made us feel at home, gave us interesting insights into the local community on the island, and gave the best tips for local restaurants. M’Pai Bay turned out to be a walhalla for foodies, with some must-try restaurants!!! We had some of the most amazing food here. If you want to experience the true charm of this village and eat in all the superb local restaurants, I definitely recommend staying in M’Pai Bay. You can visit the other beaches of the island easily via taxi boat (5$ pp). Dragonfly Guesthouse has a nice bar and lounge area where you can chill with ocean views, and their restaurant with vegan food is amazing. The room was according to the description, with nice decorations and a private bathroom and balcony. It was a peaceful place to stay.

The bungalow I had was right in front of the beach and had its own little balcony where I could read in the evening after a swim to see the bioluminescent plankton (it was not like the pictures on internet but more like little fireflies appearing underwater when moving, truly amazing). The accomodation is quite simple but has everything needed and is very comfortable. Shower water is cold but given the temperature it's not an issue. There are even some plastic curtains in front of the balcony that can bu used in case of heavy rain. There's a restaurant that can easily accomodate for vegans (I recommend the banana flower soup). I took the taxi boat to get there since I had a suitcase and it went well, you can book the boat back with the help of the bungalow staff. One day I decided to do the little hike to get across the island (it has one steep part but the it's mostly flat-ish, so easy to do with a backpack if you're in good health condition) to see the beach on Saracen bay side. If you want more bars, restaurants and people, you could pick that side. But if you want some quiet time, a beautiful beach and nice accomodation, Robinson bungalows on Sunset Beach are perfect :)

I had a wonderful time at Sea Poe Tree! The owners are incredibly kind and take great care of their guests. I felt very comfortable in the bungalow I stayed in, and the bed was really cozy. Everything feels very personal there. When I didn’t return from an excursion in the evening, they even called the company that organized it and found out that we had run aground on a coral reef on our way back. They came with their own boat to pick me up. In a hotel, no one would probably even notice if you didn’t return. They were truly so caring. They also offer a pickup service from Saracen Bay for just 5 dollars.The food in the on-site restaurant is also delicious.

What a lovely and peaceful place! Everything is so beautifully designed and decorated, staff is amazing. I immediately felt home. You can easily hang out in the comfy common area many hours and recharge your battery. The owner always has an open ear and a solution for every issue. Thank you so much, Fred! Unforgettable!

This was my favorite place I stayed in the 6 weeks I was traveling. We extended our stay for an extra 3 nights as we loved it and made friends with the staff. The rooms were very comfortable. But what makes this place is the staff. Special mention to Night and Pov who we went out with a few nights.

Everything amazing huge rooms with huge comfortable bed aircon fully working, amazing common area with relaxed home hippies vibe amazing showers and very appreciated the wellcome pack with shampoo and essentials.
