Staff is friendly and helpful, the linen is comfortable and clean, breakfast is fine, bathroom & toilets very spacious, they allowed me to store my backpack for 1 day when i was outside of town, and overall for the price everything is definitely very good and worth it.

There is some renovation going on in the street, but the accommodation is still easy to find. The receptionist is very nice and helpful. There is a spacious lobby and a lounge. There is no kitchen, maybe a small kitchenette with a fridge and a microwave. That is enough, there are several restaurants and shops in the area. The tile covering of the staircase is beautiful. The room is spacious, the bed is comfortable. The bathroom layout is well thought out, tidy and clean.

Penedo de Saudade Suites is an amazing location. The villa is well restored with a lot of taste and art. Our room was spacy, perfectly clean and with all comfort you need to feel cosy. The stuff is very friendly, attentive and try to respond to the needs of the guests. The roof terrace for breakfast with an amazing view of Coimbra is one if the highlights of this location. You normally find a parking place in the street so that you don‘t need to reserve a parking place. When you stay at Coimbra, we highly recomend to spend a Fado evening at a Capella, with dinner or just a drink. Thanks to the stuff for our great stay. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hostel. It feels more like a bed and breakfast than a hostel if you reserve a private room. The room was impeccably clean, very comfortable, and breakfast was quite satisfying! The owners were also so thoughtful and kind, and take amazing care of the property! Even though it was a little rainy, the hiking nearby was really pretty, and it’s easy to hike or drive to explore a few of the schist villages from Lousã. We’d be thrilled to return!!

I was lucky and got a whole room for myself and the staff was amazing, Pedro and Rita were there for everything I needed and were always super friendly and helpful. The room and the bathroom were both clean upon arrival.
