I stayed for five nights and had a fantastic experience! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and they let me to store my luggage both before check-in and after check-out. I was initially a bit nervous about sharing a room with other guests, but it turned out to be totally fine. The bathroom was always spotless—it felt like a staff member cleaned it after every single use! I didn’t use the kitchen much aside from the fridge, but it was spacious and well-equipped with everything needed to cook a proper meal. I stayed in the "Sky" room by myself, and it was very spacious! The bed was comfortable, though I was a bit cold on the first morning—until I discovered extra blankets in the wardrobe. After that, I slept like a baby! The location was perfect for me—just far enough for a nice little uphill walk, but close enough to still feel connected to the action.

I stayed here the night before my flight, and it was absolutely perfect – very close to the airport, which made everything so easy and stress-free. I was a bit nervous at first because I had never shared a room with a stranger before, but everything turned out great. The place was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and I actually slept very well. I felt safe the entire time. What made it even better was the host – extremely helpful and kind, always ready to assist with anything I needed. You can tell he really cares about his guests and wants them to feel welcome. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a safe, clean and convenient place before or after a flight.

The best hostel in all my 3 weeks holiday in Madeira for winter. The location is perfect, close to everything. The hostel is beautiful and always clean. The staff is very friendly, they provided good advice on the activities to do. People who stay there are also very friendly. The kitchen is well equipped and well organized. I booked only a few days and extended for 2 weeks. Very convenient. I will comeback for sure.

Very clean hostel, Joa and his son were very friendly, helpfull, and very hospitable. The host is very caring and travels himself till this day wich makes him young in spirit, you get the feeling that you are coming back home when staying in this hostle, it’s also new wich means alot is being upgraded/changed. They truly care about your comfort, i see myself returning here soon!

The concept and the story impressed us. It is a family business and each room has a different design, connected to one of the family member's story or passion. The furniture is custom made and one of a kind. The rooms are big and comfortable. The shared kitchen is also very nice. It is a large kitchen with all the amenities for cooking, if needed, and spaces allocated for each room. The guest house has a principle of not wasting food, so guests can leave behind unused food, for anybody to enjoy. Ruben, the host, is amazing. Always available and helpful. Location - in the center of the town, close to bars, shops, restaurants and the sandy beach. The town is very nice, close to the airport and with easy access to some of the nicest places of the island. It also has one of the few sandy beaches on the island.
