I first stayed here when I first moved to Melbourne (back during Guilly's time, the GOAT), extending for a month, and then in-between share houses. The people and volunteers are lovely, and it's definitely sociable enough for you to either be an extrovert drinking in the garden or an introvert (me) watching the telly in the living room together. Plenty of social events and the weekly family dinner, so you'll never go bored! Also it's right by Sydney Road - so many great places and shops around. I met so many people who only intended to stay for a while ending up staying for a long time, shows how special the hostel is to them

Located in the heart of St Kilda, just a few minutes' walk from the beach, a range of restaurants and shops. Tram stops are located at the door step, so you can conveniently get to and from the CBD. Thank you to the Roamer St Kilda hostel and the entire team who work there. A special thanks to Marit and Anna. I was warmly welcomed, and I loved the many activities offered to socialize and meet new people. The hostel is in a perfect location, and I had a beautiful private room. The historic building is memorable, and in a relatively quiet suburb makes the quick tram rides out of center worth while. Kitchen system is really well considered and good for longer stay and self catering.

Ritz Backpackers is finally re-opening with a face lift including all new bunk beds with privacy curtains, charger points, bed light and fan! The team that handles the maintenance is really perfect, very clean, very professional.

Head up to our awesome rooftop for city views and chill vibes, or gather in our spacious TV room and fully equipped kitchen – all creating the perfect social hub. I’ve been there almost 3 months and I really enjoyed my time here. The size of the hostel is amazing, the location is really good and the people are amazing. The management of this hostel is doing a really good job in creating a family environment which makes the hostel for me the best I’ve been in my live <3
