Very friendly family that runs the hotel/hostel. Because it was still low season we got a free upgrade to a better room which is always a nice surprise. The room was very comfortable and the location is fantastic. There is also a lovely little common area where you can watch TV and enjoy a free selection of teas.

Engelberg Youth Hostel se nachází v Engelbergu, 500 metrů od lanovky Titlis Rotair, a nabízí samoobslužnou restauraci a letní terasu. The hostel is located close to the Engelberg center. Everything is reachable by foot. The facilities were super clean. The dinner menu was very good value for Switzerland and breakfast had a large variety of food. I would definetely stay there again. Lockers are big enough, except for huge suitcases.

Pension St. Jakob se nachází přímo na břehu malebného jezera Eugenisee, 800 metrů od centra Engelbergu a 5 minut chůze od lanovky Engelberg. Excellent location. Wonderful lake view. Clean room. Good personal. Not expensive. Excellent.

The directions on how to drive to the house by car were very clear and helpful. Also necessary since Google Maps failed me here. I arrived very tired, so I enjoyed the simplicity of arriving, finding my room, putting the sheets on the bed, then simply and immediately rest.
