The hostel was spotless clean! I stayed at the 10 bed dorm which was on the attic floor. It was very hot outside but there was a stand fan in the room which helped a lot. The bed was soft and comfy with charging points behind the bed. The location is great. It is 15 mins by foot to the station from where there are regular trains to Dresden. Also 15 mins to the ferry which takes you across the river. You get a guest card where the cost of the ferry is included. The shared bathroom was also very clean. Overall an amazing stay!

The lighting in the room is a story in itself, incredible. I didn't mind the separate bathroom at all. Extremely clean. The kitchen is extremely practical.

The Hostel Mondpalast offers rooms and dormitories which have been designed by different Dresden artists. Towels can be borrowed for a surcharge on request. There is a lot of space, many toilets and showers. What I really liked is the little separate space in the showers where you can keep your belongings and they won't be wet. Free coffee, bar which looked cool (haven't had opportunity to try anything, but looked quite comfy and chill). If I'd have to stay in Dresden again, I'm definitely coming back to this hostel.
