Leisy's Garden Hostel & Rooms offre un centro fitness, un giardino, un ristorante e un bar a Santa Bárbara de Samaná. Literally couldn’t be better, hostel room was super cozy with complete privacy inside your bunk, and the public spaces were beautiful and really well kept. The photos don’t even do it justice, since they were taken all the surrounding plants and garden has grown into a lush jungle around the main building. One of the owners, Austin, was an absolute pleasure to speak with as are all of the rest of the staff and guests, truly a hub for brilliant people in one of the most untouched an beautiful places I have ever stayed. I can’t wait to come back to El Valle !!

Mi sono trovata benissimo al Triangolo. Ottima posizione, ottima qualità-prezzo, e soprattutto ottimo ambiente. Luca è una persona fantastica, gentile e sempre disponibile, vive a Las Galeras da trent’anni e ha tanti consigli per visitare il luogo. Con i volontari abbiamo fatto amicizia da subito e organizzato piani insieme. Grazie a Kenny per averci guidato e raccontato tanto di questo paese, della sua natura e delle sue persone, avere l’occasione di passare del tempo con un locale è stato per noi prezioso. Grazie anche a Janelle, Bryan, Guillem e Cristofer, con cui abbiamo condiviso bei momenti. Las Galeras è il luogo perfetto dove conoscere la cultura dominicana ma anche tanti viaggiatori, circondati da spiagge paradisiache non ancora distrutte dal turismo di massa. Assolutamente consigliato.

Idyllic Escape at Fata Morgana – Highly Recommend! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Fata Morgana in Las Terrenas, and it was a truly relaxing and memorable experience. The property is set in a serene, idyllic location with lush surroundings that immediately put you at ease. A highlight for me was the presence of two friendly donkeys that roam the grounds—they added such a charming and peaceful vibe to the stay! I traveled without children but brought along my small dog, who was warmly welcomed. The proprietor was incredibly hospitable and multilingual, which made communication effortless. She’s also a certified tour guide for the Dominican Republic, and her local knowledge was invaluable. She even assisted us with arranging a car rental, which made getting around much easier. The accommodations are individual bungalows—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully laid out with private bathrooms. I also really appreciated the communal kitchen and dining area, which included a lovely porch where guests could relax, cook, and connect. Fata Morgana has a calm, authentic charm that’s perfect for those looking to unwind and experience the true spirit of Las Terrenas. I would absolutely stay here again.

The place is quiet and peaceful surrounded by nature (we got avocados and bananas directly from the trees in the garden). The commun kitchen is full equiped and always clean, and the commun areas are perfect for chatting with other guests. The two owners are lovely and always keen to help you with whatever you need. The beautiful beach of Madama is within 45 min walking through the jungle, and Fronton beach is within 1h30.
