Beautiful place, clean, comfortable and most of all peaceful. Staff were really nice and welcoming. The bar was a cool place to hang out and the lovely food was delivered with a friendly nice. Only those staying at El Aleman can use the facilities (bar, restaurant etc.) Would highly recommend this Albergue. Most of us were pilgrims on the Primitivo from Oviedo so it was a welcome relief yo stay here away from the crowds.

The Hostal Alfonso offers pleasant accommodation with a family feel, surrounded by the ancient streets of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Perfect location, charming small building with the typical architecture of the old part of Santiago. Lovely inner courtyard perfect for having breakfast, which by the way was great too.
