Posizionato a Lerwick, a 600 metri da Bain's Beach, Islesburgh House Hostel mette a disposizione un giardino, un parcheggio privato gratuito, una sala comune e un ristorante. The accommodation surpassed my expectations. It was very clean, well furnished (private sink and fridge in the room, kettle, desk, TV) Wifi connection was good in the room. The shared kitchen is big with multiple sink and cooking hob and even a dishwasher. Lots of tableware. Empty cupboards with stickers and pen to store and identify your food. Two big fridges and free food like tea, coffee etc. there is a few parking slot on site but if not available anymore there is plenty of space on the street. The shared shower are very clean and toilets aswell. The bif dinning room is very nice to take your meals. The cleaning ladies in the morning are very sympathetic and all staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. The situation is very calm and nice to visit the city center on foot and convenient if you have a car to travel around the mainland. It is 5 min from the ferry terminal by car. There is a lift available. And you can leave your luggages storage if you would like to leave some stuffs to visit arround after check out. It was kindly suggested by the hostel team.

Ottima esperienza.

The staff is super friendly, the hostel feels warm and cosy, the dormitory room is spacious, with plugs for each bed, lockers and space to hang out jackets and clothes. Ballater is also a super nice village, and the staff of the hostel have a lot of recommendations for where to eat/have a drink/shop. And there is a bike shed!

Ruth was a terrific host. The pod we stayed in was comfortable. The kitchen facilities were good. I would definitely stay again, it was just indescribable how beautiful it was. The area had numerous trails and hikes for exploring.
