Very cosy and very comfy 24/7 facilities. It is possible to self check in at any hour, and there is basic food to purchase in the kitchen too at any hour - quite handy (tea, coffee, beer, oatmeal, instant noodle etc). The common area is very neat and nice - i spent quite a lot of time there, chilling after a hike, cooking and eating food and even working on my laptop. I stayed in a female only dorm, that has 6 comfy beds, and there were 2 toilets and 2 showers just for our room, so i never had to wait to have a shower etc. There are hair dryers available, and a whole separate drying room both for laundry and wet clothes after a hike. Beds were perfect, pillows were perfect, not creaky as in some dorms. With very good quality bedsheets and towels. Overall, if i am in betws y coed again, i will certainly stay in Gwersyll Cyntaf Eryri.

A buffet breakfast is available in the morning, and there is free private parking on site. We really appreciated being able to access the indoor facilities at the youth hostel. Was wonderful to be able to make breakfast inside when it was raining!

Plenty of communication beforehand and throughout with handy tips for parking and all the information you'd need. Beds were comfy,extra blankets under the beds too. Location is perfect, 2 mins walk from main street,parking just outside the back gate,playground,aldi is 5 min walk.

All units at the hostel are equipped with a shared bathroom and bed linen. The castle! The fact that you actually live somewhere 800 years old! It also has all the authentic parts preserved in a nice harmony with renovation. Good breakfast, lovely person who was serving it, very helpful and communicative. It's a shame there are no other meals. I do recommend my friends to go stay there!
