A lovely, comfortable, and quiet hostel close to busy and interesting parts of Yogyakarta. I appreciated the coffee, water dispenser, washing machine, comfortable places to sit. The rooftop was really nice — you can see a nearby volcano when it’s clear!

It's clean, quiet and the owners are the nicest and kindest people. The neighbourhood is surprisingly nice, you will get the opportunity to see something different than malioboro. I am a light sleeper and I could sleep really well here, no sunlight or external noise in the room

I stayed about 3 months in this hostel, and I was so sad to leave because i felt at home. Mok is a super host. He makes you feel really comfortable, and whatever you need, he gonna help you, he is really kind and helpful. I had my birthday in their hostel, and Moak made me feel really special, he take care of each guest as I had never seen, the value doesn't have any comparatiion with the price that you pay. The hostel has a beautiful and big garden with mango trees, chilli, eggplant, and avocado, and it has even a basketball basket. In this garden, I spent I lot of time in the morning. It's a good place to do yoga and journalism or meditation. Inside, he has a big area to chill, play games, play guitar (yes, he has a guitar!) or just for work in the computer, and for the cooking lovers,, he has a really big kitchen with all the tools that you need. The beds are really comfy, and of course, he has AC. He has chickens and a cat, Aban, Mok's son. This is a beautiful place to stay. You don't need to think about it, it's the best hostel that I have ever been, and now it's my second home.

The hostel was very comfortable and clean with great shared common spaces to work. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything you need. The manager RD is a great guy and is happy to help guests with anything they need. In general, Happy Buddha has a very welcoming atmosphere and I would highly recommend anyone to stay here when in Jogja. Great quality for a good price!

I booked this place to stay briefly while waiting for an overnight train. However, the facilities were much cleaner and newer than I expected. It was the cleanest hostel I've stayed at in Indonesia. The host was also friendly and pleasant. Next time, I'll just stay overnight.

We stayed two nights in this brand new homestay/hostel and we loved it! The house is small but it has everything you need, from a shared kitchen (with free coffee water and tee) to a small swimming pool. We loved Its interior design, it really feels to be in a Japanese house, so many small details! You can see that everything has been thought through and planned with care and taste. We had a private room with toilet, which was small but with all the necessities. The host is really friendly and available to any questions or help. Services: Laundry and breakfast (the hosts buys a typical Indonesian dish fresh in the morning). Location: Quiet spot but close to some famous roads and touristic attractions. Highly recommended!! Vše bylo naprosto perfektní. Ochota personálu byla snad nejlepší co jsem kdy zažila. Pokoje a celý hostel byl krásný.

I just wanna say it's just amazing the staff and the family is so nice and friendly even if you wanna know something or ask about something they're going to do their best just to help you and to be comfortable I wanna thank them i wish i stayed long but I've to move .. it's good idea for backpacking ppl to stay there Thank u so much 🫶
