Laundry is available at an extra charge. Kana was beyond helpful. She helped with every little detail I asked. She even popped down to the bus stop I was waiting at to update her original directions after discovering a change in schedules. And my dorm bunk bed was perfection, large, comfortable, private with a Japanese screen.

Tatami room was fantastic, with great views of the mountains and the town, very spacious and clean. Hostel was cute, very well equipped, with many facilities. Staff was very helpful and polite. The onsen was fantastic, very relaxing. Tattoo friendly as well. Do use bus or taxi if you're carrying luggage, otherwise it's a perfectly fine walking distance from the town. Perfect stay!

I think is the best hostel around the world, base in my own experience. The staff is so kind, I arrive earlier than the check in time and they store my luggage and the procedure of check in and check out was so easy. The facilities are new, well maintained and clean.

The restroom and toilet is clean with shampoo and body wash provided. The bed is spacious enough and comfortable. I will definitely come back in the future!

The host was super friendly, always happy to chat and answer questions about history and tradition and helped me find my way around Kawagoe, showed me all the must see spots, bars and restaurants. There’s also a little garden in the back and the bar area seems to be the local hang out spot in the evening which is super cool.

Featuring a shared lounge, the 2-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. The property is non-smoking and is set 200 metres from Komagatado. Excellent service and location. I was afraid room would be too hot in summer but air condition was great and bed comfortable. There is also space for bigger suitcase and hanging clothes next to bed.

I had such a great time at GrapeHouse. Everything was clean, the whole place felt very cozy and had everything I needed. I would absolutely come back!
