All rooms at Piece Hostel Sanjo are air conditioned. Some units come with a private shower room and toilet, while there are shared shower rooms and toilets for other guests at the property. Such a pity that we have short time to spend in the hostel. Shared space is nice and good vibes.

The property is non-smoking and is set 400 metres from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall. More traditional home style which I preferred. Toru was very nice, helpful, and informative. I liked the nice shared common space that made a communal feeling even though you had a private room. I slept very well!

He can speak a bit of English, Spanish and Portugués. The shower is very good. All the staff is nice. Comfortable bed 👍🏻

This 1-star hostel offers a shared kitchen and a concierge service. The property is non-smoking and is set 1 km from Kitano Tenmangu Shrine. This is an amazing guesthouse. I wanted to have the full traditional japanese house experience and I had everything. This a traditional guesthouse with tatamis, shower and restroom in the oustide and with a beautiful little garden. The common area is cute, the decoration is beautiful. Everything is provided, clean and organised. The neighborhood is very nice, a little far away from the subway station but really close from the bus stations. Hence I only used buses in Kyoto. The staff were amazing ! But if I could say something maybe they are a little too much in a haste to clean in early morning. It’s 7 or 8 and they are already replacing stuff straight back after us so I felt a little bit like I was in the way. Maybe wait until most of the people leave around 10-11 hahaha? But this is a minor thing. Everything was really great. I loved every part of my stay and trip on Kyoto ! ARIGATOOO

A 15-minute walk from Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Yasaka Shrine, Guest House Gojo offers simple and cosy Japanese-style dormitory accommodation with free Wi-fi, futon beds and shared bathrooms. It is housed in a 100-year-old traditional building. Friendly staff, cool lounge area, comfortable beds--overall a very unique property and a great stay! The dorm style rooms are not very private and there isn't much soundproofing between the rooms, but this was not a problem for me. Wonderful experience!

The property is non-smoking and is set 2.2 km from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall. Special space accurately designed with maximum attention to details. Very safe and comfortable. Great kitchen with all you need and your personal drawer with glassware. Common space with video projector. I wish to watch some Japanese movie next time with other guests :) Two common bathrooms for three rooms. Never busy. Located in a local district which I personally liked as it gives you a possibility to see local vibe a bit and take a rest from tourist crowds. 15-20 minutes by bus and you are back in a melting pot. And of course the hosts… Shin and Kenichi are very sympathetic and welcoming guys. They make you accommodated and give you all the tips you need. You immediately feel like you visit friends. I really appreciated it being solo traveler in Kyoto. All the luck to you, Shin. Hope to have a possibility to come to your place again one day.

I liked the location (so close to Sanjo station), the convenience, and the price! Check in was super fast and I was overall really satisfied with the stay for the price. There’s a nice place to socialize on the 1st floor as well, with tables and cookware. You can also leave your luggage at the hostel pre-checkin or post-checkout. Staff were all friendly!
