Providing free WiFi, MOUNTAinn Nagiso is located in Nagiso, 4.7 km from Kotoku-ji Temple and 4.7 km from Sekibutsu Kanzan Jittoku Statue. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Certain rooms at the property include a balcony with a mountain view.

Otsumago is 6 km from the hostel, while Magome Observatory is 12 km away. Matsumoto Airport is 83 km from the property. My party of 5 total stayed only one night when hiking the Magome to Nagiso section of the Nakasendo. Proximity to train station and Nakasendo trail was the original selling point, but we fell in love with the place as soon as our host toured us around. It feels like staying at an artsy bed and breakfast, except you provide the breakfast and you get the entire place to yourself. There's small, delightful touches of personality and hospitality every where you look. We did not want for anything. Our sweet host met us at the front door to enter data from our passports and then gave us a walk through of the building. Two toilets and two showers was perfect for a group of 5. Fridge and other kitchen appliances work great. We listened to the CD disc player on the wall while reading the books and it was a lovely experience. The futons were placed very thoughtfully according to our parties needs. In addition to the trail and train station, there's a grocery store, a historic bridge and a cafe all within a couple minutes walk. The patios were a great hang out spot and we saw monkeys near the river around 7am. Honestly, I wish we had stayed longer but our plans dictated we move on. Next time we will try to book a few more nights so we can explore the area more!

At the hostel, each room is fitted with a wardrobe. With a shared bathroom equipped with a bidet and a hairdryer, rooms at Starfall Lodge also offer a mountain view.

Hakuba Cortina Ski Area is 14 km from the hostel, while Togakushi Shrine is 41 km away. Matsumoto Airport is 67 km from the property. The thing I liked most was our hosts, words can not describe how welcomed we felt, it felt like we were staying with friends, everything from in my opinion was great advice on lift tickets to inside knowledge on each resort, also the fact u can wax ur board or skis which was a bonus, the team at Starfall made sure we got the most out of our experiences and also made sure everyone was comfortable weather ur a family or a group of friends they meet everybody’s needs, not to mention that we were always fed in the morning, toilet and showers were excellent and always clean and I would most definitely come back, also I should mention how close we were to Happo one bus terminal and ski resort, not to mention that Echoland and Hakuba base camp weren’t to much further. I just wana say a big thanks to Coen, Jaidon, Kate, Lloyd, and Chelsea, we could not have had the experience we had without all u guys, we felt blessed because of y’all, thank you so much 😊

With free WiFi, this 1-star hostel has a restaurant and a bar. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen, free shuttle service and luggage storage for guests. This is like a hidden gem in a remote rural area. It feels like it's from another world. I fell in love with this place once we arrived. The owner and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The food (and the sake) they serve is locally sourced, which I highly recommend. The place provides an amazing atmosphere and facilities for all visitors to sit together and chat, which is really nice.

The location was very close to the Zenkoji temple and within 500 m of many restaurants and coffee shops. The rooms were comfortable and the dorms had a bit of Japanese touch.

Who wouldn’t want to stay in a 140 year old silk warehouse! This is probably one of the coolest hostels we have ever stayed in. Marina and staff, words cannot express how they went above and beyond, over and over. From accommodating the couple in our group to a shared location, to driving us to and from our car rental and suggesting the most amazing soba restaurant.
