Great, old school Japanese place to stay, right next to the gondola - its about a 20meter walk to the gondola entrance! And you can ski down the hill, right to the door. The room was nice and big with traditional tatami and futons. Great staff - the owner speaks really good english and is really helpful - he has great suggestions for everything from Onsen to restaurants etc. They even helped me ship my snowboard with Kuroneko back to Narita.

Bridge33 CAFE AND HOSTEL bevindt zich in Takagi, op 11 km van Heiligdom Shiogama, en heeft accommodatie met airconditioning en een bar. Very nice people, clean facilities, cute bar downstairs, with spacious rooms and delicious breakfast (paid). It was a very enjoyable experience. Please do mind that most activity plays at the other part of Matsushima, which is about half an hour walking.

Very VERY kind and helpful hosts that offered me pickup/dropoff rides, a ride to the supermarket, and even a goodie bag on my way out. This made for the perfect penultimate day to my MCT thru-hike, could not have wished for anything better. Fully equipped kitchen, nice shower, bathtub, common room with TV and netflix, sheesh. Thank you!!!!

A cute guesthouse, super happy with the facilities. We stayed in the tatami room, its a bit small for 3 people, but for a short stay it worked perfectly and the futon were comfortable The staff is nice and helpful and the little kitchen was great to have a coffee the morning or cook in the evening

It was the best capsule hostel I stayed at until now. Very spacious and comfortable bed, there is a small area where you can leave your bag next to the mattress, but you also have a little bit of space on the other side too. The best thing was the small fan in the bedroom. Loved it. Also, the door is an actual door you can lock and not only a curtain.

Yamagata Guesthouse山形ゲストハウス bevindt zich in Murayama, in de regio Yamagata, op 5 minuten lopen van treinstation Murayama. Je verblijft in een prachtige, oude school. Het is erg schoon en comfortabel. Douches zijn goed. Je hebt bij je bed een gordijntje voor meer privacy. Eigenaren zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam, bv met reserveren voor avondeten of andere tips. Er zit in het zelfde pand een fantastische pizzeria. Het is max 10 minuten lopen naar het station, heel goed te doen. Je hebt een prachtig uitzicht op de bergen. Er is ook een gedeelde ruimte waar je kan zitten en beneden is er een grote keuken. Ik zou er zo nog een keer verblijven.

Guesthouse & Kitchen Hace ligt op 11 km van Aquamarine Fukushima, en biedt een 2-sterrenaccommodatie in Iwaki en heeft een gedeelde lounge, een restaurant en een bar. Breakfast was individually organised and wrapped that made the whole experience a lot more unique. The whole building was an ex taxi noffice in traditional style. Had a cute little table for eating food. Don't expect spacious facilities, but if you are after traditional Japanese experience with home atmosphere, this Guesthouse is for you.

Regions Hostel is gelegen in Yokote, op 24 km van treinstation Omagari, en biedt accommodatie met een gedeelde lounge, gratis privéparkeren, een terras en een restaurant. The stuff was incredibly friendly and helpful, such warm people! We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time. The restaurant is perfect for lunch and dinner, especially the beef bowl is amazing! We definitely recommend staying here!

El Amarillo SELF CHECK IN HOSTEL is gelegen in Fukushima, op 48 km van station Koriyama, en biedt uitzicht op de stad. The facilities very very clean, but the best part was hands down the beds. Extremely comfortable and even had heaters for the cold winter.
