I recently had the pleasure of staying at the dreamy hostel Arugambay in Sri Lanka, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and refreshing welcome drinks, setting the tone for a fantastic stay. The hotel is beautifully located right near the beach, offering stunning views of the Indian Ocean. Our room was spacious, clean, and elegantly decorated, with a private balcony that provided the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset. The amenities were top-notch, with a lovely outdoor ice bath. One of the highlights of our stay was the dining experience. The on-site restaurant served a variety of delicious local and international dishes, and the breakfast buffet was a feast for the senses. Don't miss out on trying the fresh seafood! The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, offering excellent service throughout our stay. They also helped us arrange various excursions, including a trip to the nearby kumana national park, which was an unforgettable adventure. Overall, dreamy Hostel Arugambay is a gem in Sri Lanka. Whether you’re looking for relaxation or adventure, this hotel has it all. I can't wait to return!

One of the best experiences of our lives throughout. So, me and 2 of my friends were travelling for a long weekend getaway and you won't believe the hospitality and the perfection of this property. Truly something to be rewarded and justified! Me and my friends had quite a dilemma when we were booking the place for our trip. But, man oh man did it turn out well! So, our booking was from Saturday to Monday which means Saturday check in, Saturday night, Sunday night - Monday check out. Now, this weekend was a long weekend and everyone was travelling. We are locals travelling from Colombo to Arugam Bay and we didn't have transportation sorted out for us. Our vehicles were being used over the weekend and we had to use the public transport. There is no train to Arugam Bay from Colombo as far as we researched but there are buses. The buses were booked too. We somehow managed to get seats. The buses operate at night which means you board in Colombo around 7 PM and you land in Arugam Bay at around 4 - 4:30 AM. This is the daily route for the bus. So, if we want to get there Saturday - we must get there Saturday early morning at 4. We just booked that bus and we were on our way to Arugam Bay Friday night So, it all starts with the host. Since, I booked and my number is on the booking. I got a call from a random number. I didn't answer cause I was travelling and my phone was on silent. It seems like I had missed calls from the same number. I just ignored it and kept travelling. After a while of listening to music, I just got an instinct to call this number (a good gut feeling). I called and it was a nice gentleman named 'Roshan' from the hostel and he was asking me what time I will arrive. I told him around 4. He asked me if I am coming by bus or train (seems like trains operate) haha. I said bus and he said, " 'NO PROBLEM. ONCE YOU ARRIVE, JUST COME IN TO THE HOSTEL AND SLEEP ON YOUR BEDS.

Aura surf camp & Hostel è ubicato ad Arugam, a 7,2 km da Elephant Rock e 18 km da Magul Maha Viharaya. Situato a 5 minuti a piedi dalla via principale, in zona tranquilla, questa struttura è pulitissima, compresi i bagni. Inoltre è nuova: materassi comodi, staff gentile, quindi residenza molto piacevole. Ho utilizzato sia il dormitorio che la camera doppia, ed il livello è il medesimo.

The breakfast and espresso coffee is delicious and the rooms are cleaned daily and are comfy with great facilities with a good location!! Highly recommend, made our time here! A MUST BOOK! I originally came from lost hostels in weligama and was incredibly excited to stay at lost in Arugam bay. The team here is sooooo great!! I continue to extend because I don’t want to leave anytime soon. Thank you to the entire team at lost for making this place feel so welcoming! Cannot recommend enough!!!

Ubicato ad Arugam, a a due passi da Spiaggia della Baia di Arugam, Shine Rise Hostel propone un giardino, un parcheggio privato gratuito, una zona spiaggia privata e un ristorante. Bellissima camera con piccola veranda e terrazzino privato, letteralmente sulla spiaggia, di notte ti addormenti con il suono delle onde. La struttura dispone soltanto di due camere per cui rimane tutto molto tranquillo. Lo staff è molto gentile e disponibile e la colazione, a scelta tra diverse opzioni, è buona e abbondante.
