My stay at Hello Aliya Hostel Sigiriya was truly amazing from start to finish. The location couldn’t be better — just a few minutes away from both Sigiriya Rock and Pidurangala, and also very close to the main town, restaurants, and shops. It’s convenient yet peaceful, surrounded by greenery and a relaxing atmosphere. The room was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated with an aesthetic touch that made it feel warm and homely. The bed was super comfortable, and everything was well maintained. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, a perfect start to the day before exploring. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always ready to help with anything I needed. The owner, Isu, went above and beyond — he arranged a village tour and a Kaudulla safari for me, both of which were incredible experiences that gave me a real taste of local life and nature. The entire hostel has such a good, positive vibe — it feels more like staying with friends than at a hotel. I had such a great time here and will definitely visit again on my next trip to Sigiriya. Highly recommended to anyone looking for comfort, great location, and genuine hospitality!

This is actually a nice place to saty its very nice and relaxing place and specially the staff is really friendly and helpfull and the rooms are clean and the location is full of nature and also it is very safe for anyone it is very beautiful and amazing place to vist. in my opinion I had good time there and noting to woory about and the price is also reasonable for that experience their have given and And the hotel was really near for places In Sigiriya

When I arrived I was welcomed by the family (with 2 kids) with some nice tea. Afterwards the husband propsed to do a free scooter tour and we’ve passed some beautiful sights, including the secret lake where you had a view on both the Pidugala rock and the Lion rock. They also were helpful for tuktuk drives (paid) at any arranged hour. In the room I was the only one so I could choose a bed. The bed was comfortable and had a musquito net. There was also 1 fan in the room and the bathroom was specious en clean. In the morning I also got served some delicous breakfast. Would really recommend this place because of the location, value for money, delicious food and the hospitality of the family.

It was clean and nice. Beds were comfortable and because the hostel is a bit further away from the city, you can get good night sleep!

I love their cabin consepts! So fun and authentic. Everything was comfy and clean. Its not that far from the rocks, i dont mind walking. Everyone was very nice and lovely, we looked tired upon arriving and they brought us tea to settle down before checking in. They helped alot with booking reasonable priced tuktuks which is nice consider the locals always try to up the price to tourists.

Shan is a perfect host! We took a beautiful walk at sunset and his mother has cooked us an amazing breakfast! If you pass by Sigiriya you absolutely have to stop here ;)

The breakfast is far above the usual hostel standard—more like what you’d expect in a 3–4 star hotel. Overall, it’s a wonderful experience filled with good energy, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant and memorable stay.
