It had everything we needed to rest and refresh ourselves before our further bike journey.

I loved the location right in the heart of Old Town Riga and was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and the impeccable cleanliness. I rented a private room. I usually dismiss staying in a hostel, but the ratings were so good I thought I’d give the Blue Bird a try. I was not disappointed. The property is also really secure. The staff were super helpful and friendly.

I really appreciated a warm welcome, that the staff accomodated my ask for a bottom bunk. The place is clean, the beds are comfy and there's tea to brew and enjoy in the cozy common areas - it's all you need really!

Excellent staff, new hostel, beuatiful interior, extra clean, comfy bed, free fruit, tea, coffee for breakfast... One of the best hostels I stayed at!

Set in the centre of Rīga, Hedgehogs backpackers hostel is located 400 metres from Vermanes Garden and 600 metres from Latvian National Opera. The property is around 1.3 km from Riga Dome Cathedral, less than 1 km from Bastejkalna Parks and a 8-minute walk from Riga Nativity of Christ Cathedral. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, a shuttle service, a shared lounge and free WiFi. Location is excellent. Close to the city center, close to shops, grocery stores, restaurants, bars, medical places, pharmacies, everything. Close to some very nice views and land marks. Close to a very good looking park. Close to so many things, you need lots of time to see all. Hostel was in a building, which had McDonalds open at the first floor. Hostel was in second floor, as well as its sister hostel Eurohostel. Two other hostels were in this building too. So very good location since so many want here! Lots and lots of shops to buy all you need, and train station is right across the street. Bus station for long range buses is also less than 1 km away. So you can arrive from other cities or countries like Estonia or Lithuania very easily to that place. If you want to go little further during your visit, you can buy a bus ticket for few days. 3 day ticket costs 8 euros and 5 day ticket 10 euros. Works with trams too. Staff was very friendly, and especially positive minded. One had even shirt positive on him. Talking with them a little bit revealed the shirt fit the wearer... They also worked hard, cleaned the hostel a lot all the time, talked politely, gave advice if needed and so on. Warm welcome and you can leave your gear there if you show up early, but room check in isnt yet ready, so you can go see Riga without luggage knowing your luggage is safe. Same goes to check out, if your bus or train or plane leaves much later than check out time. I recommend due to location, staff, hostel cleanliness, and all the other i mentioned above in the review.

Logistic to airport is good. Contactless check-in and check-out is comfortable. Room is not small comfortable and very clean. Pubs, restaurants, museums is close to the hostel. All for a good vacation.
