The place is in really good shape (well kept, squeaky clean, insulated), bathrooms are spacious (and there are enough stalls to never have to wait) and feel almost luxurious (marble floors, good quality products, small single-use cotton towels for hand-drying), the bed and pillows were super comfy, and the ventilation worked surprisingly well - the air was neither hot and stuffy, nor aggressively cold and sneeze-inducing like is often the case with AC. I really appreciated being able to customize the light in the room, and the complimentary water bottles and tote bag.

The location of this hostel was effortless to navigate and offered excellent access to many hubs for museums, restaurants, public transportation, shopping, and so much more. I was a solo female traveller and felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay. I booked an all-female room. My roommates were friendly and easygoing. We even went out on my last night. The common areas and kitchen were free-to-use by all the guests. I was able to cook and enjoy the spaces without any worry. I didn't have too much interaction with the staff, but they were great and kind throughout my whole stay. All the photos online are exact depictions of how the hostel is decorated and oriented. I truly recommend Ecomama.

Located 10 minutes by metro from the city center, Via Amsterdam is a design-led hybrid hostel and hotel with street art and urban design featured throughout the building.The property situated in the Bijlmermeer district, offers free WiFi and a 24-hour front desk. While the location of the hotel wasn't in a very central position, there is a metro station (Diemen Zuid) on a 10 minute walking distance and one of the metro lines passing by there (line M53) goes directly to the city centre so that's good. It was also nice that at the same station, there is a direct train line to go from the hotel to the airport and vice versa. As far as the hotel goes, it was really worth the money I paid. Also, the common areas were really clean.
