The facilities are excellent, clean, and very well-maintained. Everything about the hostel made my short stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely choose to stay here again and highly recommend City Hostel to anyone visiting Stockholm.

Each simple room at the environmentally-friendly Castanea Old Town Hostel has wooden floors and access to shared bathroom facilities. Paula was super nice and it was a wonderful welcome to Stockholm! The hostel is right in the center of Gamla Stan and it’s a 5 minute walk to any destination in old town. We stayed in a twin room and it was very cozy, and all of the common areas and bathrooms were well-kept. It was very clean and organized, and we never had to wait to use any facility. I absolutely loved this hostel and would definitely stay again if I were ever to return to Stockholm!

Breakfast options were abundant and they had nice places to sit with good views. The location was ideal to easily walk to many attractions and access different forms of public transportation.
