Very nice manager, Alice. She is very friendly and will make you feel welcome! I chose this hostel because it was the only option with a female dormitory. The female dorm doesn't have a window but the dorm next door is larger and has the entrance to the patio with the hammocks. Lovely view from the cozy hammocks of the sea! And nice common area with a projector.

The host (Shaun) was so nice. I immediately felt welcome and was introduced to some of the other guests, who I ended up getting dinner with. Any hostel can give you a bed, this one gave me a fantastic experience and some lovely friends. thank you Shaun.

I have so much love for them, and really are great people to spend time with and have good conversations with. I really appreciate the time I spent with them, and are probably one of the main reasons why I would want to come back to Taiwan. 10/10 and would recommend to stay there any day of the week, also a bonus is that it’s so close to the train station so it takes no time to get there! Thank you for being so kind :)

The manager Nick truly went above and beyond. He sent us a message with recommendations right as we arrived and he was always available when we had questions. He helped us rent bikes, book a surfing lesson and find the right bus to the harbour. The place itself is really well decorated, laid-back and comfortable. The double room we stayed in was the nicest room during our trip so far. Overall, we would gladly stay again at the Travel Bug!

40Inn Backpackers Warehouse se nachází ve městě Taitung, 500 metrů od vesnice Taitung Railway Art Village a 700 metrů od chrámu Taitung Zhonghe. The owner and staff person were both extremely friendly and helpful. They gave lots of activity and food recommendations and also helped me call local businesses to check their hours or book things for me. The owner even gave me a ride on his scooter to the e-bike rental place because the rental place said to hurry before a tour bus was scheduled to arrive. The vibe was very homey and the owner and staff would often hang out at night and just chat with me about what I did that day and stuff. They were really easy to get along with and it was a super welcoming vibe, unlike the very transactional default of any other hostel or place to stay at. I found myself looking forward to returning to the hostel at night so I could tell them about whatever funny thing happened that day, and I felt like I could ask them for help if I ever needed it during my time there. Also there's a very cute, friendly, and quite big orange cat who lives there (but he's out of sight most of the time).

The host and her helpers were really friendly and engaged every individual guest. They provided me with a lot of recommendations and guidance. Beakfast was amazing too.
