We stayed here before and after the Ha Giang loop. He recognized us and gave us a very warm welcome. Bean even remembered which room we had and gave us the same room. We had lots of laundry after the tour. Bean arranged that our laundry would be ready before the next morning 8am (we arrived at like 6pm). That was so nice of him. We really appreciated it. Another example: Bean also texted the bus company for us to organize a pickup at the hostel when we left, which was WAY NICE! You can also book a bus ticket at the hostel. There are some places to eat at walking distance but the kitchen has a wide variety of dishes so I would recommend to just eat there. Another tip: at first we didn't know how to get to the hostel (we came by bus from Hanoi). Bean advised us to ask the bus driver to drop us off at the hostel and that was okay so problem solved! Oh and Bong, the dog, is so very cute as well!

There's good WiFi, fresh towels and even good quality body wash and shampoo are provided in the bathroom. 🥹🫶 Duy, the owner, speaks really well English, is very kind and super helpful. He cooked up an extremely yummy breakfast and even took me to the ATM on his bike when I needed cash. The location is perfect too, as it's tucked away in a quieter neighborhood. I really enjoyed my stay here!

Breakfast is normally served from 8 AM, but on the day of our departure, they kindly prepared it for us at 7 AM. We have been traveling in Asia for several months now, and unfortunately, we’ve increasingly felt that in many places, people see us merely as walking wallets. Because of this, we arrived here with a certain level of distrust… But this place and these people completely proved us wrong. They genuinely wanted to help us in any way they could, not because they expected anything in return, but simply because they are good people. We feel immense gratitude towards them for reminding us that there are still selfless, kind-hearted people in the world. Thank you!

On a quiet side street at the start of town not too far from where the buses pull in. Ha Giang is not a pretty town by any means so it was good to be on a small street. I had a large room on the third floor (no lift/elevator) that was a hotel quality room with a big en-suite bathroom. Very clean. There were some new-looking doubles w. en-suite on the forth floor but they were full. Other rooms had shared bathrooms but they looked good from what I saw. A nice common area, a pool table and a small swimming pool. Very social place where people are happy to tell you about their experiences on the Loop so very good for getting information before setting off. I had travelled from Hanoi on a bike and didn't rent from Odyssey but the staff were still happy to offer me advice, give me a map, explain routes and sights and were so helpful. Their semi-automatic bikes looked brand new. They give lessons on the street to novice riders and offer easy rider and go-it alone tours. I stayed 2 nights and in the late afternoon people were coming back from tours of the loop, getting their bags and were able to have a shower and change of clothes and a meal before getting the night bus. Very impressive. Good breakfast selection too including granola/yoghurt/fruit which was welcome after too many other places that only offer pancakes or omelettes, (both of which are usually like frizbees). Very professionally run with staff that can speak English really well. I think they had a French speaker too. Thoroughly recommended.
