Even though the people here are concentrating on fixing it with high intensity, they are still very welcoming, open-minded, and I even had some interesting experiences here. The hostel was heavily damaged but what I saw was that my room was really clean, fragrant. They had super cool AC. Sadly, the swimming pool was being repaired so I couldn't experience it yet. But next time coming back here, I will definitely try. Highly recommend for everyone, anyone especially travelers.

The host was incredibly warm and accommodating, ensuring that every detail was perfect for my stay. The room was immaculately clean, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable visit. One of the highlights was the location—it was serene and peaceful, offering a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The surrounding scenery was breathtaking, and the host even provided recommendations for local attractions and hidden gems, which made the trip even more memorable. The hospitality truly stood out. From the delicious home-cooked meals to the thoughtful little touches, it felt like a home away from home. I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming place to stay. It exceeded all my expectations, and I can’t wait to return!

The Oversleep Catba Hostel & Pool Bar se nachází na krásném ostrově Cat Ba u zálivu Lan Ha, jen 10 minut chůze od trhu Cat Ba a pár kroků od přístaviště trajektů. Upon arriving at CatBa Oversleep, I realized I had left my wallet on my sleeper bus and couldn’t provide a deposit. Their response was incredible — they immediately contacted the bus company, tracked down my wallet within minutes, and arranged for it to be returned to CatBa. Literal life savers! The staff also booked all my tours for me. I highly recommend the night kayaking trip with glow-in-the-dark plankton — such a cool experience! Their laundry service was great, and the daily happy hour is a fun, low-key way to meet other travelers. This isn’t a party hostel, so expect a more relaxed, chill vibe. But if you're looking for nightlife, you’re only a 5-minute walk from the two lively spots on the island. It’s easy to be lazy here — there are plenty of great restaurants and massage places within a 10-minute walk. Also, shoutout to the shower pressure here — probably the best I’ve experienced in all of Vietnam!

My stay at Woodstock Jungle Camp was excellent. From the first moment, I felt welcomed by the friendly staff, always attentive to my every need. The place exudes tranquility, surrounded by mountains, ideal for resting or reconnecting. Access is very easy, even by motorbike. The cabin I stayed in exceeded my expectations: comfortable, clean, and with impeccable facilities. The restaurant's food was also a huge plus: everything I tried was delicious. Without a doubt, this is a place I would choose again. Highly recommended if you're looking for an authentic and relaxing experience in Cat Ba.

SECRET GARDEN Hostel - WANDERNEST Cat Ba se nachází v destinaci Cát Bà a má venkovní bazén, zahradu, sdílený lounge a bar. Cool vibe, clean, and good location. Staff were amazing and helpful. The private room was big and spacious, really enjoyed it! Even the food was one of the best foods in town.

The One Hostel & Rooftop Bar Catba se nachází v destinaci Cát Bà a poskytuje bar, nekuřácké ubytování a bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách. Jen 1,6 km odtud je Pláž Bãi tắm Cát Cò 2 Cát Bà. Great people! A relatively new hostel but very promising!

This is an excellent budget hotel and hostel. All the staff are really caring. The reception staff also speak good English. The female dorm was cleaned daily with new towels and water. The room had a shared fridge and kettle. The pool is also really clean, with an excellent view of the city. I also appreciated the free daily breakfast. This is a really safe place for solo women travellers. Thank you for everything, and I hope to stay again soon.
