You will fail to be disappointed by stupendous views from the windows of the apartment, both day and night! You will have everything you require including free wifi to a well-equipped kitchen. The apartment is decorated and furnished in the original Austrian Beidermeister style, and has been exceptionally well-built and maintained. The living areas are spacious and have parquet flooring and rugs while the bedrooms are newly carpeted. All mattresses, duvets, pillows, sofa beds have been recently replaced and the linen and towels are professionally laundered.

We are a South African/British couple who bought this apartment 16 years ago. We live in the UK now but love coming to spend time in our apartment, both in Winter to ski and in Summer to enjoy the healthy fresh mountain air and do some walking and hiking. We are also keen sailors and love the outdoors! We love to know that our apartment is also being enjoyed by others and we have taken care to ensure that guests will have a comfortable stay in a well-maintained 'home from home' which is spacious and relaxing while being well-equipped with fresh, cotton linen and towels. The apartment has amazing far-reaching views both across the valley toward town and the mountains beyond, as well as down the valley toward Badhofgastein. It is a short 5 - 10 min walk into the old town which has restaurants, a few shops and bars. To walk up to Stunberkögel and the Eurospar, is a 20 min walk via the APCOA parking garage, or the steps in front of the Dunstbad. Your host in Austria is Mrs Greyer who will meet you when you arrive. She also arranges the cleaning of the apartment and ensures that everything is ready for you.

The apartment is in a quiet part of town but only 5 to 20 min walk or 10 min drive to all the amenities that town has to offer. There are also two bus companies that operate throughout the town and all through the Gastein Valley. Your ski pass gets you onto all buses free of charge. The nearest bus stop is just below the parking area: walk down the ramp on the downhill side of the parking area. The Promenade just above the apartment leads you into town in one direction and in the other direction, toward Cafe Schuh, 3 min walk (lunch, coffee, ice-cream, cake), Hotel Hirt, 10 min walk, which has a lovely restaurant and one can continue along the contour path around into another smaller valley and the small village of Gotschachel which is nestled in the valley, and further beyond Prosseau. In the summer months, there are numerous walks and routes to follow. More information will be found in the apartment and at the Tourist Information Office at the start of town.
