Hotel Schachner is located in the town of Maria Taferl, close to the basilica. It offers views of the Alps and the Danube River. Culinary delights can be featured in the gourmet restaurant Smaragd, which has a garden, terrace, and in the traditional restaurant Donauterrasse. The hotel also has a wine bar, a vinotheque, and a walk-in wine cellar. In summer Hotel Schachner features a park with an outdoor pool. The hotel also offers Wachauf-SPA with infinity pool, sauna, infrared cabin, brine steam bath, Wald4tel textile sauna, organic sauna, "Kraftwerk" fitness room, Sky Lounge and FITamin lounge with fruit and tea bar. Wi-Fi access is free of charge in Hotel Schachner’s rooms. The business centre offers free wired internet access. Melk Abbey and the Wachau Valley are only a few kilometres away.
