We are Reini and Marlene, both born and raised in Pinzgau, and we established Steinbock Lodges ten years ago. With our long-standing, experienced in-house cleaning team, we take care of all the chalets and apartments individually. Our goal each day is to ensure that the guests of our owners have a warm feeling of satisfaction and that they really enjoy their stay. Why Steinbock Lodges? All our apartments and chalets are fully equipped. The beds are always made up with freshly laundered and ironed bed linen and the fl uff y towels are ready and waiting on the bed to put a smile on your face when you enter. Free Wi-Fi goes without saying, which is also the case for basic equipment in the kitchen (e.g. salt, pepper, vinegar and cooking oil) and for cleaning (e.g. washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, bin liners, tea towels, mop, all-purpose cloths and sponge). You might be pleased to know that all our kitchens contain a Nespresso machine and for those who prefer the classic method, there are also fi lter coff ee machines – the choice is yours!

Leisure activities: The lake here is actually a reservoir and the water is used for generating electricity. So swimming in the lake is unfortunately not permitted. However, if you would like to go for a swim, we can thoroughly recommend the superb and well-maintained lake in the valley. Choose how you want to enjoy yourself: whether tennis courts, stand-up paddle board (SUP) rental, a slide, a children’s area and boulder parkours are ready to entice you to take part in some sporting activities. The very family-friendly “Weissee Glacier Word” is a great area for skiing with the best ski slopes – not overcrowded – and lift tickets that are available at very reasonable prices. Remember, children up to the age of 12 ride free of charge (summer and winter)! Don’t forget your guest card! Simply show your card at the reception and you can enjoy a further 20% discount. Miscellaneous: A hydroelectric power plant is expected to be built in the mountain by 2025. Please note that the work is being carried out inside the mountain so that our guests in Tauerndorf are not disturbed by noise stemming from any construction activity. We would ask for your understanding and can promise you that you will still enjoy the wonderful mountain world around the Weissee Glacier to the fullest.
