Enjoy peace and solitude with this near new two bedroom holiday home set on a private and spacious block looking through trees to Adventure Bay. Wake up to a wonderful sunrise, or relax on the deck and soak in the ambience of this special place. Or, for the romantics at heart, sit in front of our gas heater and forget about the rest of the world. It is such a convenient location, only 3 minutes walk to our very own secluded beach, or a few minutes more to the Adventure Bay township. To get the most from your stay, we definitely recommend a minimum of 2 days, if you have the time.
The house is well insulated with double glazed windows and a heat pump to ensure you stay warm in winter and cool in summer. There is a large lounge, dining nook, a full sized kitchen, and two good sized bedrooms with comfy double beds, and a common bathroom.
Facilities include Free WiFi, 55" Smart TV with Netflix plus we provide continental breakfast for first day of stay, water, coffee etc. There is ample space outside for cars; or room for your boat if you wanted to bring that with you.
My wife and I built this home in 2015 to capture the view and the sun, and to give you the feel that you are surrounded by trees, yet can hear the sound of the surf at night as you lie in bed. This home has been such a wonderful place for us to unwind that we thought we should share it with others. We trust you will love our home as much as we have and we really look forward to welcoming you to our very special place at Bruny.
Adventure Bay is a small seaside township of locals and 'shackies'. It is a quiet and friendly place to visit and welcomes visitors. Steeped in history; Captain Cook's vessels landed here to replenish their water supplies in 1777, while later Captain Bligh along with numerous early explorers and whalers frequented 'the Bay'. A wonderful local museum showcases this impressive local history. It is an island that also abounds in wildlife, from the many endangered bird species, to the rare white wallaby, and migratory dolphins and whales that frequent our coastline. It is a largely untouched and pristine paradise we call home!
And, Adventure Bay is the ideal launch point to visit other unique parts of the island, including the Bruny Lighthouse, Cloudy Bay, Lunnawanna, Alonnah, Great Bay and of course North Bruny. For us though, Adventure Bay is the jewel in the pearl!
Eating out options include Pennicott Seafood Restaurant (lunch only) for great fish 'n' chips, Bruny Bowls, and Penguin & Pardelote Cafe; all in Adventure Bay. Further afield at Alonnah, Hotel Bruny has pizza and meals (lunch/dinner) and Bruny Island Premium Wines provides meals and wines (lunch).
