Centrally located and beautifully renovated Albert Cottage is a 3-bedroom, 1.5 bathroom dog friendly property only 100 metres walk to the main street of of Daylesford. Built in 1850’s this Miners cottage is very much part of Daylesford’s heritage boasting period features including polished wooden floorboards, decorative fireplaces, high ceilings and dado walls yet with modern styling and conveniences. Ducted heating throughout keeps you warm and toasty in winter and a two-person spa in the bathroom will help to soothe aches and pains. A full kitchen and dining area with separate lounge for cooking up a storm or cosy nights in. Walk through the French doors to the fully enclosed rear garden for a BBQ or just take in the beautiful sun from the north facing yard. The Daylesford-Hepburn Region is famous for its mineral waters and is known as the Spa Centre of Australia. Our beautiful scenery includes the famous Lake Daylesford, the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens and the Wombat State Forest. There are historic buildings in the main street of Daylesford and the region’s history lies in the rush for gold. Lake Daylesford now covers land upon which gold was first discovered and offers lakeside picnic spots, cafes, walking tracks, fishing and pedal boating. The internationally known Lake House sits on its shores and there are public BBQ facilities and amenities adjacent to the main parking area. Lake Jubilee is located south of Daylesford (about a 10-15 minute drive) and is ideal for fishing, boating and swimming. If you are looking for a waterfall, visit Sailor’s Falls, less than 30 minutes south from the Daylesford Town Centre. If you are into the outdoors, Daylesford sits at the junction of three walking trails that are part of the Great Dividing Trail – the Lerderderg Track, the Dry Diggings Track and the Wallaby Track. The Hepburn Regional Park is a little less challenging and contains mineral springs and relics of the bygone gold era.
