The Basedow Units include a couple of two-bedroom units and a one-bedroom unit. The two-bedroom units can accommodate up to five people making them perfect for groups or families. The one-bedroom unit is well suited for solo travelers or couples looking for a weekend getaway. Alternatively, if you are thinking of doing a group trip you can book all three units. I have called the Barossa home for the last 40 years and absolutely love where I live. I purchased Basedow Units ten years ago with the aim of providing comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price to help others explore this beautiful region.

Named one of Australia's best wine regions, the Barossa offers plenty of opportunities to taste local produce and see the sights. Tanunda is well known for its many wineries and cellar doors which offer great wine and food, and you will find many of them only a short drive away from the units. At the end of Basedow road is the main street of Tanunda. If you take a nice stroll down the main street you will find many great cafes, restaurants, wine bars, antique stores, clothing boutiques and homeware shops. One of my favourite things to do when I travel is to go walking and explore nature. This is definitely something you should do while you’re in Tanunda. You can walk part of the Heysen trail, visit our sculpture park, or explore some of the quaint villages nearby, such as Bethany.
